Defoliating some lower fan leaves can help moderate humidity at the expense of flower production. What’s happening is you’re limiting the plant’s capacity to transpire moisture. If you are selective, and only remove leaves that are shaded by the top canopy, it can be worth it. You’ve got this under control now, but thought I’d mention it FYI.
