Once a minute for ten minutes at -40F: the cold temps will keep chlorophyll from being dissolved into solution. What’s more important is getting the plant material and ethanol separated quickly once done agitating.
You are over-thinking this. Whatever you do will deliver a smokable result. Repetition will make you develop your own technique.
He’s not using dry ice method. You can shake that up without picking up as many undesirables. I was helping get the best extract with freezer method, so no shaking there.
Fast filter to limit exposure and then slow filtering after most organic matter removed, since doesn’t have a Buchner.
@Budbrother okay all of it is damn near evaporated. It seems like it has a reddish tint to it I don’t know it might just be a real dark brown. I still have a small puddle of liquid maybe a Coke capful. Talk to me bro
@Myfriendis410 with that gorgeous golden picture Everytime I click on extract threads…
A shout out to all those that wing it on dose measurement batches.. I completely blacked out once from it.. turns out I was 5x over the trip mark.
Baby steps, my people’s
@Budbrother hey bud so it is all evaporated. I’m wondering what to do now. Am I supposed to scrape what I have on the parchment paper into a pile? What is good to use to scrape it? I’m still supposed to let it sit out some right?
So you can place in freezer for few seconds and then use the parchment to fold, stick and collect it into a pile. This will still need to be purged and flipped to release the trapped alcohol.
Okay so don’t use nothing to scrape it with, I was thinking about scraping it with a razor blade or something but wasn’t sure. And what exactly is the definition of purge, it pretty much means to vacuum right? But it could Purge without a vacuum right? @Budbrother
You can scrape it up. Then deal with getting it off. I just find folding the parchment easier, less time consuming, and no waste.
So to purge, you would use a heating pad on low. Then use the freeze-flip method twice daily to release the trapped alcohol and harden to snap and pull consistency before smokin.
@Budbrother well this morning it seemed to be a little gooey. It wasn’t like would you showed me where the paper was full of the goo it’s still kind of close to each other
