Hellraiser grows Cherry Ice Cream clones, Jacks vs Advanced Nutrients, making feminized seeds

Lol, yep I had a phototron also. It wasn’t so great and it was less great when I had a party(I think I was 17) and the cops showed up…

I too had one, I think it was like $249.99 in high times, right next to the ads for 357 speckled egg caffeine pills.

Hey @Hellraiser can I get your opinion on this product vs tribus?

It’s significantly cheaper. I’ve been seeing it all over the place recently… looking for alternatives because I’m using way too much. Lol.

Looks like good stuff but let me do the math…

With Tribus, getting 10 billion CFU per ml

With the other one, getting around 20 million CFU per ml

So with Tribus, you are getting about 500 times more CFU per ml of the good stuff. That should explain the price difference.

Thank you! Sounds like this stuff will basically just be a supplement to the usual microbes then.

Yep, almost like a liquid version of recharge but without the kelp, molasses, and fulvic.

That’s kind of what I figured. Seems like it would be great for roots. Hmm. I guess we will see. I’ll throw some in with the next microbe day. :man_shrugging:

Edit
I usually run tribus a few times a week then
Seaweed, molasses, recharge, tribus, and fulvic on microbe day, wonder if this product is even necessary. LOL

Man I must be way overdoing the tribus. I add to every bucket lol. Wonder why I go thru a litre so quick 20 gallons a day basically for all the plants maybe I should switch to 2 or 3 doses a week not everyday

I hear ya’, plus it’s too pricey to over-use. I’m down to using Tribus once a week…sometimes 10 days…if I’ve maintained semi moist soil.

Any reason to continue to use tribus after your roots are coming out the bottom of the pots?

Tribus isn’t necessarily to grow roots. My understanding is it’s microbes that feed the roots and allow for better uptake of your nutrients.

Microbes create a better living environment in your growing medium.

Just an update, after a month of the X3…wow what a light. Nice fat buds (back built) and zero larfly. I am now converted to ChilLED Tech. I still will use the HLG but there is a huge difference in bud quality between the two lights.

What chilled light do you have? What HLG lamp did it replace? I’m always curious about lighting.

I’ve thought about getting an HID Ceramic HPS because the guys at Hortilux swear it grows the greatest weed. It’s in expensive enough I could run it just in the winter and it would give me some warmth……

I got the X3 from their website for a 4x2 tent. Fits awesome (end to end). If you look at my journal, I’ll tag you, the GSC are in that tent and are light years from the HLG 300L rspec. I added another small light(mars hydro) to boost the footprint as the buds are very larfly. Going forward, I will get another X3 for the other 4x2 tent and put 2 HLG 300L’s in the lone 3.5x3.5 tent.

Interesting. I have 2 hlg 260s in a 4x4 and have no problems with Larfy type bud

These are only 4th week of flower. Still a lot of growing to do. I wouldn’t mind checking out chilled tech but it would be hard to believe they would make that much of a difference between the two.

Did u make sure the tuners on the driver r turned up all the way. Might have to pop the driver off the light to get to the black plugs that cover the adjusters. If u didn’t u might want to as they have them turned down from the factory and ur not getting the full potential of the light. Otherwise nice lights for sure. Ha my heard any bad on anything hlg so far

That’s what I was thinking. I read the specs on the ChilLED and they are seem very close to the two 260XLs that I have regarding light dispersion & intensity at the canopy.

It may just be the plant itself, different strain, but there is a noticeable difference in the bud density from HLG and ChilLED Tech. I’ll keep an eye on it and post more on my grow journal. Make it an experiment lol.
