It called manifolding.
The bark is not bad, but I get if it barks at you the wrong way. Ha
It helps with drainage, and ironically moisture retention once wet. Also as it slowly breaks down it releases carbon, and the soil microbes like it because it has moisture and carbon present. Especially if you reuse your soil. The soil with the bark would be more complete than the soil with it removed.
That said I get it if it bugs you, like A texture thing.

They will end up in coco.
Bad time for an aphid outbreak. Going full tilt on them.
Sent two of them to grow outside. Hoping there is enough room for these in the 5x5. Got stuck in the pokey for a few weeks then delt with aphids. Plants are about 30 to 33 inches tall. 7 in there. Too crowded? Can put some in the 4x4 but not wanting to run both tents. Thought about putting a net up. Can sqush them down by 8 or 9 inches. Opinions?
Thank you kindly.

Should be enough room there in that space.
Thank you.
Messed with one. See what it does. I screwed up. Tryed to do one Kyle style. Live and learn. I think about a week too late.
Proboly my 50th attempt on trying to germinate these seeds. Crap storage. Were in a barn. Temps from 110 to minus 15. From around 1999-2002. A few left stored in old film containers. Maybe this time.
