Growing with Gl1tch

Day 1 of flower for all the chocolope. Rp43 is a couple days behind still. I fed them all too.

The Azasol packs a punch :oncoming_fist:t3:

I saw ya recommend it the other day. Then came across it again while researching so I figured it was worth trying. The pet nursery spider just isn’t cutting it.

So I got curious and threw a couple pitfall traps in my pots. In 12hr the tomato pot caught 4 rove beetles, 1 larvae, 1 baby worm, and 15-20 mites. I think they’re some sort of oribatid mite, but IDK. I haven’t gotten much from the other pots although I know there is some stuff in there.

Also day 1 on the RP43. she’s still being a pain in my ass. She’s sucking down a gal and a half a day and still sucking the pot dry every other day.

Had to pull the net again, The big Chocolope(right) had pretty much shaded out the med one and the RP43 (left) was about to suffer the same fate. I’m really starting to miss the big grow room. 5’x9’ just isn’t as much space as it seems.

It took all weekend, but I got everything forced back in there with some more room. I suppose it’s been a while since I’ve had to deal with leafy stretchy plants. I did cut out a bunch of the weak spindly stuff from the middle of the RP43. I’ll thin the others once they settle in and turned back towards the light. I was going to chop the tomato, but it fit in the corner so I guess I’m going to let it go a little longer. The tomato cage had poked a hole in the bottom of the pot and there was a whole ecosystem living in 1/2" air space under the pot. Lots of worms, a wolf spider, a few pill bugs, and a couple of 1" long larvae that I couldn’t identify.

Thanks guys, appreciate ya’ll

@Budbrother could I get a professional opinion please? The last few days I’ve been seeing a few pistils turning up top, but figured I got a little aggressive ramping up the light since it was just the tallest branches in the center/brightest part of the light and closest to the light. I got everything somewhat level again and backed the lights off, but this morning all the plants were noticeably worse. Some of the leaves up top and in the middle are slightly pale and splotchy with a few of them showing spots. Down low I’m seeing the interveinal chlorosis and a few bad ones with necrotic leaf tips. For the flower week 1 feeding I ran out of Green Mountain Veg so I threw in the 1/4 cup I had and figured I’d make it up as soon as the new bag gets here which I’m still waiting on. I was thinking Mg and N synergism. Tomorrow or Wed will be water day so I was thinking of adding a teaspoon/gal Epsom and some FFJ to hold them over. Does that sound reasonable or did I miss the point?

RP43 top Ca- and lower natural cannibalism low light/air conditions. Same with other one. Those spots on bottom are from moisture/splash. The pale one and yellows are natural N cannibalization. Overall things look healthy. Reading your inputs, you may be out of synergy with Mg-N-Ca

Agreed on the starting point.

As for pistil fizzle, looks to lights, fans & then micronutrients

Forgot to mention input amounts listed were divided among the 4 plants and the water droplets on leaves was from azasol foliar right before I took pics not condensation/ lack of airflow. the droplets were gone within 15 minutes or so. They have all been under relatively low light(raised them all up so I didn’t hit my head) since Friday while I’ve been shifting things around. So the dramatic pistil shift shouldn’t be light related or airflow…right? Would a lite SAG soak be in order?

so I should have enough Ca and Mg with the amendments, gyp, and lang already? It’s likely running low on N thus preventing uptake of Ca and Mg that is there? Do I understand that correctly?

No, not showing signs of Zn or Mb needed to fuel K. Front loading them now could throw off balance without K demands ramping up for a while

Maybe but your lang amend is only ~7 days old and was divided by several plants. The demands in this stage require Epson availability while lang comes online. The gyp was available and needing balanced.

The color looks good N wise. Has the stretch stated slowing or still strong? Strong, then it may need the fuel. It is scavenging N but you’d have to be the judge here. It could just be storing energy with those shaded lowers. The missing link of N & Ca is Mg.

Happy Cannaversary @Gl1tch

Edit: I see you saw that AutoCorrect BS

I feel like it’s starting to slow. I just wasn’t sure if that was because demand had slowed or supply had been diminished since I didn’t have much veg amend coming online with the week 1 feed.

So some Epsom with the next watering or two should provide the Mg in the mean time while the lang becomes available in the next week or so.

Do the tops look lighter when coming in showing N access is tapering down? Have the leaves starting getting tacky yet?

Yeah I’d keep it up once weekly for a couple weeks hitting prime uptake start. By the Wk5 lang addition you should have a sustained trickle overlap online for completion.

Not so much

a little bit. I noticed while resetting the net I was getting just slightly sticky. I’m assuming that means demand is slowing down and they are transitioning to to building phase.

I remember we spoke of this a while back. I was thinking the earlier lang amendment this time would cover. Maybe I get it now…not likely  Thanks for the backup

Assumption, correct. Got you man. I do my lang at trans wk1 an wk5 depending on lights I boost ES 1/4 tsp gal after gyp amends.

Funny how my memory works, I could swear you told me a week before flip, but I said it and it just got stuck in there :hear_no_evil_monkey: :person_facepalming:. It blows my mind that I still remember stuff I learned in high school, but never used like how to say french fry in German and nabisco made it’s first Oreo in 1912, but a conversation I had last month…that’s already gone.
things leveled out yesterday after Epsom soak on Tues. Today everything was looking better with some new pistils and a little bit frost. I did notice that the tops on the chocoB are stating to get just a little pale. Others look good though.

Also got some veggies started. I tried using one of my old burple lights directly on the domes this time. That clearly did not work. I have one more to try before I give up and add seedling light to the list.
