Hi! My name is AshCatcher. I started this grow at the end of last month, May 2025. It is about my third time growing each time with multiple seeds. I am however very proud of this grow so far. I have reached day 15 only and the plants are swelling decently. The grow is in a 2x4x5 tent and started in my closet. The light is a SpideFarmer SF4000. The Humidity Averages at 45% - 75%. The Temperature is at 18° - 20° Celsius (64° - 70° Fahrenheit) at “night”, and 25° - 27° Celsius ( 73° - 80° Fahrenheit) with the lights on. Here’s a pic!.. (Note: They are sleeping)
Welcome to the forum!
Welcome
Looks like your off to a great start
Thanks! Nice to be here.
Thanks there. I would also appreciate any advice necessary. I am still kind of new, but very avid to do a good job.
Welcome to the neighborhood. Looking like a good start.
Peace! May the flowers be the power brother…
Keep us updated on this thread.
Thanks, I will!
BTW, I grew up watching Grow420Guide, SoCalGrows and such off of youtube…
Nowadays, it’s Mr.CanucksGrow
Anyone else have there youtube classics or favorites?
As well, I have been PH balancing the water as such:
PH Down - Lemon Juice
PH Up - Baking Soda
I have testing strips to test the balance.
You’ve found a great place with a wealth of knowledge from growers of every method out there. A low key no drama environment too.
Im an old school new guy around here and learning every day. I found the search engine to be my new best friend .
I discovered many years ago from both my aquariums and gardens, those test strips are notoriously inaccurate. If your going to continue the garden hobby a good investment would be a good ph meter and ppm meter. If you search around the forum you’ll find plenty of recommendations. Many here use the apera pc60. A little pricey but a good unit that reads both. There are plenty of cheaper alternatives that’ll work as well.
Good luck growbro
I had a VivoSun digital reader but somehow lost it! I’m getting a new one in 2 weeks. The PC60.
Here they are last night!
I amped up the light percentage slightly & gave them a quick water and soil top-up.
I experimented more with light raising and lowering before turn on or off the lights. I kept the humidity high for this strain at about 50% Humidity and the temp. at about 23° Celsius with the lights off. Then I raised it to about 70% Humidity and just lower on average, with a temp. of 28° Celsius - 26° Celsius & the lights on.
I run a 18 hours on / 6 hours off light cycle. (18/6)
As a rather experimental decision, I think I am going to put half a teaspoon of organic Ontario made dark honey and a smaller amount of organic Ontario made maple syrup in the water, PH balance & feed next. Wish me luck, that my plant has great results. I’ll post the results…
Looking good. Welcome to the forum @AshCatcher
Zoarak, get back here!
Good work sir!
I now have a jar, from my mom, of pure 100% fancy molasses. I will attempt to dilly between the three special ingredients. 100% Honey, 100% Maple Syrup & 100% Molasses. I will record within my notes the experimental results. Bless, have a great grow.
