Yes there is… 1000 watt bulbs are 3000 and 2500 Kelvin and 600 watt bulbs are 4500 Kelvin … .I can’t find any 1000 watt bulbs in 4500 Kelvin… :wink:

then the difference in flower yield from 600 to 1000 may be more a function of spectrum than wattage…?

No because those color temps still don’t directly correlate to nm band spikes 2000k of diff manufactures can have way diff. Spectrum distribution

It also breaks down to how fast your light intensity in those designated nm in something I never heard of until recently and there are unders and overs I think that’s where light can get to intense ad have adverse effects if umols are to high at to much wattage

ya thats what im saying. that explains why the 600 watt light makes bigger buds than the 1000watt, its not wattage but spectrum that makes the difference

Oh I see what your saying as to what @peachfuzz outcomes were ya I agree but I thinkthe 600 might hit a better band par wise but can’t spread it as well as a 1000 so there’s a give and take I know nothing gets pebetration for undergrowth like a 1000 beside the sun which correlates to more yield because minimizes larfe and adds to top shelf finished product

In my weird shaped room 2x6.5 I need multiple smaller fixtures to distribute light better I feel it’s not a square as same square footage in a square would he better taken care of by a bigger single fixture IMO

Most of the 600 watt lights are more efficient than 1000’s too. So just because a 600 is 40% less power doesn’t mean it’s 40% less light. Then if you can find a more photosynthetically efficient bulb there would be room for more gains as well.

Experience will always trump equipment. But it’s also important to identify that experience and equipment will both have limiting factors.

id like to try a grow with 2x 600s at 30 degrees down from straight up to the side and another 30 degrees more down to the side. then spin the plant… deep penetration and fat buds

@basementstealth i do admire your ingenuity but I need alot more then 1 plant maybe make a larger rotating table like you had plan for your but little larger scale maybe get one of those tea cup rides at the carnival that go in and out and rotate and put plants on that :joy::joy::joy:because your not gonna want one in center getting less light lmao I’m jk but yu could arrange in a circle and leave center out for larger turn table on more plants but seems like alot of extra time and effort for how much more increase god forbid your motor or turn table go out and you got to take everything out and repair it or your gonna be screwed

from what i can tell the build per turntable will be cheap. and should be easy :crossed_fingers:. you could have one per plant

Yea then turn tables into of one really big suer sturdy turn table rolling on ball balearingsnon the outside patent it and call it the true indoor sunshine method

sounds space inefficient. idk if it will work with multiple plants because the branches will overlap and break

You could actually build a light using the strips like I did that’s mounted on a radius. Like take my border (except use 90° angle aluminum) cut the top every 2 inches then bend it into the radius you want. then you’d have the strips every 2 inches on the flat sections. Hopefully that made sense. I can see it in my head just hard to explain.

Ok so we will use a picture. Take the frame end and cut through the top of the frame so that you can bend each section on the little black lines. Then bend it to the curved black line. Does that make sense.

Then just place the frame on the right side of your grow setup so that it’s both above and on the side.
