No bird should have a 4 inch punch daggar as a mouth.

Wow, @TigerLilly , you take awesome wildlife photos. I have those birds here(except for ringnecks, you’re so lucky) but no way can I get those kind of pics. I have the magenta bunting I’ve been trying to get even a crappy picture of. Little flying sapphires. They are kinda special. We have lots of pileated woodpeckers, wreckers of cedar siding. I usually see them in the dead standing timber. Emerald Ash Borers have created lots of habitat for a hungry hammerhead.

I wish I was more computer savvy. Technology eludes me, but has made my stock portfolio fat. lol but seriously I need to learn some new skills in that department. Is it true you can’t teach an old dog new tricks ?

I have to correct myself. It is an indigo bunting that I have here. I misspoke magenta. Anyway the cedar waxwing you have the photo of @TigerLilly is exquisite ! I find I can stare at that picture for ages and just get lost in it. A hit of this hash seems to help. .

LOL @RightAway … Indigo Bunting’s are very hard to capture, they are all over the place, like nervous nellies… I love that pic too of the Cedar Wax wing…their feathers look like satin. They nest near by and one year, hubby found a group of babies on the ground while mowing the grass… Precious little things. I learned that Baby Blue Birds are the only song birds that can fly at fledgling. Most song birds are grounded when fledgling.

I’m a wildlife nut. I cage my weed so the groundhogs can have free range. I have a rabbit that likes to hang out with me. I was friends with her mother, too. I use to hunt fanatically. Gave that up for peace and harmony. The animals can sense your intentions. If you aren’t a threat they can share so much with you. My garden is the most tranquil place , except for the hummingbirds. They are sooo territorial. Turns out a juvenile male is the most aggressive. He won’t leave any of the others alone. Chases them on sight.
The plants are growing like crazy. The biggest is a Blueberry Pancakes that came up from seed from the first cropping. It’s pushing 12 feet now and as big around as it is tall. It’s a beautiful beast. She’s got leaf septoria pretty bad. I’m really surprised it’s growing like it is. I’ve been fighting it with steady determination. I did the final treatment with potassium bicarbonate this evening as the transition is in full swing. 4 or 5 days from now I will start treating with foliar application of D747 or amyloliqufaceans baccillus. I will be using Southern Ag Garden Friendly Fungicide. @Budbrother had turned me onto a source for spores but they were sold out. I’ve been applying soil drenched TPS Trichoderma for plants. About once a week. I’ve been keeping the beds covered with panda plastic to aid in the development of trichoderma and to slow the spread of soil borne pathogens. All that being said, the center of the plant is clean the same way it would have been anyway. The only difference is I didn’t lift a finger to prune it. I know its not ideal but I’m searching hard for a silver lining. I took a picture of a White Runtz that is doing its best to catch up. That’s the first picture. Hope everyone has an awesome night. Thank You @Crazy81 . Man it’s been a constant battle with the Septoria this season. I wrapped the beds with 1 1/2 tyvek. Because I touched the wood with the sun blazing on it and got a welt. I wonder how much of a factor this has been ??? Remembering the beds out west we made of rough cut railroad ties. Big difference. That’s a future option to remember. Just finished spraying a biological concoction to treat Septoria, caterpillars and bugs. The new battery powered sprayer is awesome sauce, for real.
@TigerLilly Thank You also for the kind words. Love introducing possibilities . The plants are still growing like Crazy. I’ve been feeding a transition feed and began low dose Koolbloom. It makes the flowers really pop. Got a 330 gal. water tank to make things way easier on myself. Now gotta build a platform for it to sit up on and figure out a pump and hose system.

We are suffering a ridiculous heat wave over here. 100° for over 2 weeks straight. I will take it over some of the weather I’ve seen going on in the world. The Super El Nino is supposed to bring warmer and dryer conditions through the end of October. The longer the rain holds off the better.
I’m thinking about making some videos for you tube. I’ve got a great college over here that has an excellent program for video production. I was thinking of contacting the professor . What’s the Phamily think about this idea ? I’m interested in everyone’s feedback . Any thoughts are gratefully accepted. YouTube is tricky with potentially sensitive subjects. I would do your homework on monetization before putting a lot of effort in.

Content is another. They expect you to provide constant weekly’ish content or be pushed down lower on the algorithm. If you stop posting regularly, the algorithm can gradually reduce your reach and recommendations, and eventually your channel can get buried in the shuffle.
