Did some more LST to help get light to those lower inner growths and removed a few fan leaves blocking budsites and I found out the other day I was super cropping them in veg instead of LST
Loook what I just did defoliant the big fan leaves on 5 plants some more lst next will be to top them again I still got 2 months before they go outside so I’m hopping they will build the girth to hold weight I swear the girls asked me to do it lol
Looks good man they should be plenty big by the time you put them outside I’d wait till probably a week into June instead of regular may 24 we had a pretty late winter just check to make sure risk of frost is all gone I might be wrong lol
@fano_man I need some help man my one plant had a split stem earlier on I tied a string around it to hold it togother I wasn’t able to get back to it in time and no it’s thoroughly lodged in the plant and am I fucked or what this is the plant in question received_115640130468301|375x500 compared to the one in second picture it looks droopy and sad
If the leaves are wilting from the branch that split off it is most likely a done deal you could have tried to clone it right away but once they start wilting you’re pretty screwed when they break off next time just completely rip it off cut each little individual Branch put it in water and you’ll have about a 5-day window to clone them
Also to avoid this in the future .make sure to pinch branches where you want them to bend it will make the stem almost mushy you punch and bend instantly after…tuck or tie in position and in a day or so …probably by the end of the day if you do in the morning the branch will be facing up at the light … you know… but always pinch…and on hardened stems you can still do this it’s just harder to do but use something like the handle side of scissors is what I use I turn the scissors around and use them like plastic knuckles for beating up marijuana plants… use it several positions to make sure the branch is nice and mushed and it will bend right over no problem
@fano_man Yeah that’s what the problem is because the 2 side chutes connect to the main stem underneath the split are not wilting and obviously anything above the split is can I chop below the split and try to save what’s left?
If its wilted …gonna be a probable loss … even with extensive pampering… once a plan wilts and isnt connected to the plant anymore it’s tough to reverse that …say you just did it and the leaves are still erect and sticking out to the side you peice down to several smaller branches and put them an about 2 inches of water up the stem they will stay erect and alive for 5 6 days but I highly suggest you cut from plant stick in a cup of water for an hour and they will be as full as they can be of water… then you shave lower half inch around the stem and bisect the bottom up the stem about a half inch making a cross in the stem increasing surface area for its solution to be in contact with high probability of roots… you should do it first day you cut but I’ve done them successfully as far as 6 days with high success rate after 7 days they start turning yellow and being inferior canidates… cut your loss and clone fresh branches it’s much easier and more success probability … lemme know if you need any pointers… I clone at about a 95%+ success rate simple rockwool and bontone2 iba powder… clip shave stick and dome on very simple… 7 to 10 days you either have success or discard cuts … yellowingnof the branches is what I look for that there is either roots or a fail… because there is no nutes when the roots pop there very hungry and they are eating nothing so water makes them yellow with roots or yellow from failing … good luck
@fano_man Alright I’ll give the cloneing ago man I was hoping I could do something like that but what about the growth below the snap that’s still connected to the plant just fine will they be fine to keep growing or will the stress of cutting that much off be too much
If the rest of the plant is up and happy in the light she will act as tho she never lost the branch… worse case now could he herming from a large biomass loss shock… all in all you should be fine
Alright word man I think I’m just gonna clone the healthy branches and and throw away everything else that way I’m not wasting nutes on a 2 branch plant lol
This a mother replenish technique I came up with…
Leave atleast 1 leaf on a branch and the branch will re grow out of that leads node
@fano_man trees do the same thing we had one in the backyard snap off from a heavy wind storm it was a really nice tree so we just took a chainsaw and cut the snap flat and viola next spring there were new growths popping out of the treetop it looked odd 3 foot wide tree with brand new baby branches at the top lol
@fano_man @Pedrogunz I’m not gonna clone the one plant I’m gonna see what it looks like after some nutes
I’m thinking I’m gonna replace my 400 watt HID for the electric sky es300 v3Good light… expensive for what it is 330 wats 695$ you can get a hlg 600r at 620 watts for same price for twice the light same efficency
You will have much more versatility with a light bigger then you need you can turn it down and greatly increase efficency and have more even coverage
Much cheaper very similar lights
