I never kept mine that close together when I was doing gorilla grows. I always ran around tree to tree looking for the last 3-4 I hadn’t found yet. GPS woulda been nice back in the day.
It was really fun, and good exercise . Climate here just makes it so hard to grow like that. The humidity always gets them mid flower. Made me sick every year but i kept trying lol. It worked out!! I needed those few grows under my belt to appreciate having that tent!
I feel that. I usually lost 30-50% of the harvest to botrytis. I ended up taking harvests weeks to early trying to avoid it. Chop at the first signs of it. Then I started using Serenade to combat it. I don’t think it’s still on the market, but basically like PureCrop1. It was still more weight than I got inside for the year. At the time I was using 18, T5’s because HID lights were even hotter in the closet. I sure don’t miss those days.
I really don’t like to think about lights off humidity, haha. Mine gets mid 60’s lights off during flower, that’s running 2 large dehumidifiers 24/7. Tons of circulation and tons of air flow with the lung room sitting around 45-50 during flower. The only thing I can think is find a way to increase temperatures during lights out. I’ve never had a problem so I don’t really make an effort to correct it. In my mind, it is what it is.
Dont know why …but that just makes sense to me. Damned if i wouldnt try that.
Never let me down before . Those govee charts are crazy the way it rises and falls with the lights.
Absolutely! It’s actually a pretty good hygrometer. My go to. Quick live readings. For the money I can’t complain. Btw she is looking amazing, I see the frost creeping in already.
Thanks man!! I noticed a little something something in one of those pics too!! First time seeing any sparkles on this one lol.
Always a good sign early on bro. Very excited to watch her progress. You’ve been nailing it.
8 weeks of flower happened to fall on my birthday for this one lol. Hope it works out cause the stash has dried up on me . This is my biggest plant by far. It may not end up being the biggest yeild but there are more tops than the blue dream had i belive and its atleast 1ft if not more taller!!
Ayyye how sweet is that. sorry to hear you’re dry. Wish we were closer. Wasn’t joking about that duffle.
As for harvest size, ya never know til you know! You are certainly taking all the appropriate steps to max your space. Fingers crossed for you!
I’d say find a way to get another seed going halfway through flower. I know you’ve mentioned that being difficult, but you can get away with less than optimal conditions during veg. Then upon chop (find somewhere to dry) you would ideally be able to put the new one in, drop the net and train for a couple/few weeks then flip. Would help you out considerably in the yield department.
I appreciate it homie haha. Maybe one day i can take you up on that!
I did that the first time and it worked out perfect! Remember i have the little cardboard box with the 25w light i roll up and down with string lol. Last time though i had the bright idea to start an auto to put outside, thats the one the tree fell on lol. So i got a late start on the monnrocks. Then it tried to die for a week or two and @Covertgrower talked me into keeping her instead of just starting over . That goes to show an ugly little seeding still has a chance lol. But hopefully this time i can replicate more of that first run. I started the seed 2 weeks before i planned to harvest and then used my tent to dry in. That gives me around 4 weeks to get one going. Id like to have a little plant ready to top by the time the tent is empty. Still haven’t dialed in the drying process, @Dennis62 has got me alot closer to doing it right though and im ready to try again haha. Seams to dry way to fast. Last run cured out nice though. Little crispy but ill take that over mold any day!!
Funny my very last harvest NYC DIESEL came down on my birthday in March. Birthday Bud!
Id take that over cake anyday
It was pits spending BD in trim jail but the present opened was worth it.
The plants don’t care what rh is when lights are out. You just have to worry about the condensation sitting on them.
I agree with Low that if you can keep temp up you won’t get as much moisture squeezed out of the air.
Thanks man! I aint noticed any wet spots in there with lights on. Not yet anyway lol.
Ive probably asked yall this before but the 3rd week defoliation, is that 3rd week of flower or 3 weeks from flip? Wednesday will be 3 weeks since flip on this one, couple spots are around 7" from the light, most of the canopy is 10"-12".
Good question on the 3 weeks. I have been doing mine 3 weeks after flip because they are usually really crowded and ready for it at that point.
The first defoliation was to clean up the bottom before flower. This one im trying to open up the plant throughout the canopy to get more light penitration and airflow right?
I used it for that and to cull the branches that were not going to produce nice tops. I don’t claim to be expert though. Every grow i have is a battle.
