Grow #3: 4 Strains, six plants, all photoperiods

I don’t know about other folks, but I let my plants sit in their pee and soak it back up when I first started. I was chasing all sorts of issues.

Now my plants don’t sit in pee water and my environment is solid. Very seldom see any issues and when I do, they are minor.

My pleasure Grow Bro, this wouldn’t t be a concern growing organic style or houseplants but when using synthetic fertilizer discard immediately :love_you_gesture:

This makes sense. I could not figure out why my ppm numbers were all over the place. I was recalibrating my meter multiple times and that did not make sense. It is basic advice like this hat you guys have given me as to why I am on this forum. :v:

That is why all of us stayed here after being fortunate enough to find this forum. I can see that you will be helping new growers very soon. Just a couple of grows and you will have it down. :man_mage:

Ditto, so much advice offered freely. I wouldn’t be here without the support from the community :love_you_gesture:

So, when I water, I need to elevate the grow container so it is not sitting in the saucer? Discard the first cup and then collect a sample.and test?

Appreciate your support and encouragement. I love my grow room!

Yes. There are many ways to elevate your pots. It depends upon what size pots you have and what kind of setup you have.

I was planning on just using a metal drying rack from the kitchen

That will work perfectly. My plants, when they are in their final 10 gallon pots, sit in individual carts with casters for rolling around. The grating has an area below for the runoff.

You don’t need anything as involved as this. I just like building stuff.

For the smaller pots I have little star shaped things that I purchased at the garden store that sit in the saucers and the pot sits atop the star thing.

@merlin44 That’s brilliant! Love the idea! Not sure if I have the time for that now, but the visual has got my mind going. :+1:

Decided to go with these:

This should be a fairly simple solution to fix the issue. Just have to pick up the plants each time, but that is no problem.

Tx to everyone’s input and likes! Another important lesson learned that will help my next grow. :facepunch::v::fire::dash:

Got my saucer elevators today and watered them with no nutes and lowered my pH to 6.5. Happy to make this new addition! Tx @OGIncognito and @merlin44 !

Week 6

Trichomes are still all clear. Happy with what I got so far. Love the fact that my ladies are not sitting in their own pee anymore during watering .
