You can use 3s for some pretty big plants. The down side is they dry out fast. I am with @GreenSnek in that 5s are a perfect size. They will easily handle a 16oz plant 
I have done a 10oz in a 3 last grow. I feel I was pushing things there.

Oh yea they all have a sweetness to their early Terps bust most interesting is the purple lemonade which smells like lemonade mixed with lavender

Fast buds they only sell autos but sweet seeds has a few reds an purples in photo I wish their red Tropicana was in auto

Weekly update with a new phone/ camera the worst of the burn is over the poor fro yo suffer the worst but it didn’t effect her terps, fantastic blueberry yogurt smell. The bud development is getting THICC on the fastbud strains . Durban sunrise looks to be about 2 weeks to finish not to bad for a new u.s. breeder.( order, Durban sunrise, purple lemonade, strawberry pie, orange sherbert, group)

I think going full strength on the NFTG nutes wasn’t the best choice they just have to much calcium and that just pulls to heavily on the potassium and magnesium reserves of the plants . I’ll definitely go back to 1/2 strength NFTG next grow

So my strawberry pies grew so lanky (and probably because she was in a corner and didn’t get as much wind) her branches couldn’t support the weight of the buds and were literally collapsed onto the surrounding plants so I got 3 bamboo branches and tied up all the side colas which in turn basically supported the main cola its a Lil crowded but now I won’t worry the main cola will snap when it gets 3 x bigger

My last w.w auto grew like that lol. Just all over the place. Had to get coated wire an wrap around it to hold it up good. Would have been 1000 strings hanging from each one
