It’s due tomorrow I do use RO water and Cal mag when I water is that not a good idea
You’re late in flower to be using calmag. When you look at buds do you still feel like you have 2-3 weeks left? It kinda looks that way from pics, but they’re not exactly clearest.
On paper when I first saw the pistols it was April 25th then I start reducing my light but I went as March 25th the start of my first week 4 flower so it has been only 5 weeks 5 and 1/2 weeks into flower so they still should have two weeks to go so I will cut out the Cal mag should I still use RO water or my tap water is at 7.3 on the pH
Looking through a 10 power loop some of the pistlels are white but they are cloudy a lot of brown pistols or maybe they’re the flower I’m not sure but most all the pistels are at cloudy stage on a couple plants some of the ends are still a little clear on the pistels
If that’s the case, I would go to your schedule and give a full week 6 feeding ph’d to something like 6.5. When you mix up nutes follow manufacturers recommended method of mixing order, then ph. After you have that mixed up, take a look at the ppm level of your mixture. It should be considerably higher than 300, I would expect somewhere between 800-1200 really.
You should get in the habit of tracking this too. Like date, how much of which bottles go into your mixture, ph and ppm in, and then ph and ppm out. This will do a number of things for you. For instance if you can track your ph trending one way over time, you can make an adjustment before you see problems with your plants. Or, if you notice a similar mixture to what you usually run measure weird, then you maybe one of your meters is out of calibration. If nothing else, if you need help you can always have a butt load of information to give.
I do have my log from the day I germinated all six of them they came up in 3 days two of them was the fourth day and I’ve documented everything I’ve done to them temperature heights of the light everything I’ve got a six-page diary on these for the last 2 and 1/2 months
And when I noticed this happening I wasn’t quite sure what was going on I do know in order to start bringing my pH up I had to use pH up and maybe that is what causing this problem cuz it never was like this before I start adding three ml to 6 liters of water
That’s good! Setting your ph shouldn’t really cause that unless your meter is way out of calibration or something. Not unless your nutrients have chemical ph buffers in them or something, I’ve heard of AN’s ph perfect nutes not reacting well with ph adjusters. But I’m not familiar enough with what you’re using to say.
I know not the best pics just the camera.you know I didn’t have eye Loop back right before they were flowering and make a couple had pistels but not all of them so maybe a week later thought they all should have pistels ROOKIE mistake don’t know if I should flush but so close to harvest!? I know my plants my decision
but thanks for help & advise
Based on pics you have up, I’d say you have few weeks yet.
@dbrn32 @Drinkslinger @Jarnkat hey guys just a quick question today is 42nd day into flowering so I’m getting ready to flush and I know you do three times the amount of water for the size of your pot how do I do that for three days out of the week cuz that’s what I watered was three times a week so just flushing beach with 9 gallons of water three times this week here’s some pics
just want to thank all of you too many names to remember that has helped me throughout this first grow really appreciate itYou flush once, using 3-5 times the container sized worth of water.
I don’t use a flushing agent.
You use your runoff to judge when the flush is complete.
Flush slowly. It typically takes me about 90min for a 7 gal container. I’ll slowly run 5 gal through, let it sit 5-10 min, pour in a quart, test runoff, pour another 5 gal through, let sit, pour a quart through, test runoff, repeat until my ppms reach 200 after deducting the initial water’s ppm, (if water starts at 100ppm I stop flushing when my meter reads 300).
Also, my flush is not on a set schedule. When I start seeing amber on my buds I plan a flush within the next 2-3days. It typically takes 2 weeks after that before they hit the sweet spot.
I also monitor ppms at the next watering. If they’re above 200-250 I do another flush to get them down.
Did you look at my pics
I don’t know that I would flush that yet. I don’t flush in that fashion at all, but I do a couple of npk removed waterings prior to harvest. If you decide that you’re going to with the 3-5x pot capacity in pot route, I’d probably wait a little longer.
I’ve questioned the flush before harvest when using earth juice nutes, but haven’t yet felt like risking a plant by not flushing.
I think it depends a lot on what you’re feeding, how much, and til what point. I usually start tapering off my feed around week 6. Seems like excess nitrogen is the biggest concern.
Hey, ya the nutrients I using is Humboldt 2 step being feeding 4 ml per week and some bloom nutrients. They are going into week 8. They are still plumping out so maybe wait a little while longer
I haven’t tried it yet either, first grow so don’t want to experiment quite yet
Right on that gives me food for thought
just trying to do everything right so next time it will be easier and do better
Have you been looking at your trichomes at the flower with a 60x scope/loupe?
