Gold leaf & Witches wedding

2 out of 3 bars.
The tip is replaceable and over 2 year’s old.
And I don’t take care of it like I should :downcast_face_with_sweat:

I found a cheap $8 ph pen on Amazon that has same day delivery..
Hopefully being Thanksgiving today doesn’t delay that..

The 3 in DWC seem to me to be showing signs that something is off.

The 3 in coco-coir don’t seem to have been effected..
Bonus points for the coco-coir over DWC I guess

Plants are looking good! You keep a very clean growing environment! I get a little sloppy sometimes…something to aspire to.

@Riskguy Thank you man :blush:
I’m usually relaxed and care free.
But it’s I’ve had a rough couple of years and I’m working at about ⅓ capacity with my stash all but gone

I’m all to peices about these when I know I shouldn’t be  everything will be ok ..

So I was able to get my old Bluelab pen to calibrate after letting it soak all night in a cleaning solution..

The same treatment was unsuccessful with the Apera.

I’m actually surprised with the Bluelab, it’s about 5 years old and hasn’t been used in probably 2 years.. It’s set dirty and dry for the entire time but it completed calibration and reads the same as the new cheap one (that came within 3 hours of order it :exploding_head:) so I’m going to run with it till the new probe for the Apera gets here..

Surely a cheap pen and an old “good” pen reading the same is safe to assume it’s an accurate reading

I hope so because I’m going in with it
I want to get these on the reservoir before Monday so I don’t want to miss any day feeding if I don’t have to..

Ph was over 6.5 in all 3 in DWC.

This one seems to been effected the worst.
I’m curious if the leaves will green back up or will it maybe just not get any worse
Being well into flower, will it put the effect into the leaves or just stop pulling from them and focus energy on buds
Either is fine, as long as I get some nice bud

This one was effected a little bit but not to bad.
A little yellowing and some necrosis spots.
I’ll end up plucking the dead spots out just to not have to look at them

The 3rd one didn’t seem to mind at all :man_shrugging:
Other then it did effect a few bottom fans.

It sucked them dry

Hopefully they show something that looks like improvement by tomorrow.
I had just uped the ppm in the 2 most effected, literally when i realized my ph meter wasn’t reading right.

The 3rd plant that wasn’t effected so badly, did not get a ppm increase once I realized, I just left it..

So the fading and spots on the other 2 could be related to the ppm increase..

I don’t want to “fix” 2 things at once so i know what fix actually worked.
So I may or may not need to lower the ppm in a couple days :man_shrugging:

Affected leaves will not heal :green_heart::sign_of_the_horns:t2:

That’s kinda what I was expecting.
Well the one will look pretty then.
Lost elephant dose have a pheno that leafs turn a redish purple.

The top faded first and ened up purplish, that would be cool to continue.

Well i lost 1 plant when my meter tore up.

Idk how it died but it’s dead and drying up :downcast_face_with_sweat:
I think it got locked out, i attempted to flush it useing rain water that i believe was simply to cold so it sealed its fate..

The tds was over 1600ppm when i got the new meter, rain water was the only source of very low ppm water i had to try and wash the roots some.. i should have warmed it up :downcast_face_with_sweat: lessen learned i guess.

Oddly though, it didnt kill the 2nd plant in the same tub :man_shrugging:.

The others are doing good though.

Sucks to lose one but it’s part of the game :upside_down_face::green_heart::sign_of_the_horns:t2:

I’ve very little experience with DWC, like less then a dozen plants through to harvest..

That’s only the 2nd time I’ve tried to use the “Black magic grow pail” for cannabis and I quickly remembered why I only used it once

They are great for leafy greens or strawberries but not good for weed

Can’t get the plant out once the root ball is established without tearing the roots to pieces.

They wrap around everything inside.

The ring thingy that holds the net pot is atached to the pump and sprayers makeing it a pain to try and remove it with a mature plant in it.

It’s not impossible, just to much trouble considering a bubble bucket does just as good and easy to work with..

One day I’ll convert my tubs to RDWC. Now that I have a little DWC experience I like it.

Last year I would have argued that autopots and coco-coir was the easiest, but now I’m not to sure
I’m think DWC can be way easier if I take care of it, RDWC even easier because only 1 reservoir.
I’ve learned the hard way we absolutely can’t put anything “off till tomorrow” in DWC like with autopots :downcast_face_with_sweat:

I topped 1 Gold leaf and the Witches wedding.

The other Gold leaf that had a rough start topped itself and gave 3 mains from the start
Kinda worked out great so far.

I will probably have to put a 3x3 back up and a 2x2 I’m thinking move the Witches wedding to the 3x3 and scrog this 4x6 with the 2 Gold leaf, clones from all started in the 2x2

That’s what I want to do, I just need to fit it on the schedule

I could maybe move the DWC to the 4x6 and let them finish while these veg  then I would only need the 2x2 up. The dwc are autos so they wouldn’t care, but that would make the scrog difficult  idk what I’m going to do, I’m just thinking out load at this point
