From a fellow grower: I’m not sure how to leave the plants for light changes 12 light 12 dark?
See lights below:
I know you are asking about light schedule but is this an auto or photoperiod plant? I am assuming it is autoflowering based on its size. If it is, light schedule is irrelevant other than when considering DLI. Is the light shown the one you are trying to grow it with or just to be used while gone because of some timing feature?
The pictured light is wholly inadequate to flower much of anything. Put the plant back under your grow light and buy a separate timer - digital or manual. If it is your light source buy a light intended to grow and flower cannabis.
If you have questions about lighting start with the category Grow Equipment / Lighting to see what is commonly recommended.

Wow that little lady is straight up flowering at a very young age.
She is flower and will need more light, ![]()
I purchased an LED lamp and I’m hoping that will help. My sunroom is light at 8:00 pm when the light goes out. Is there anything I should do?
I have an Orange Runtz (I think is photoperiod) about to flower and the one pictured White Widow Autoflowering.
The Orange Runtz maybe auto flowering–not sure since the seed was given to me.
What is DLI–The little one pictured is autoflowering–White Widow Autoflowering. When it gets a big warmer, I want to put it outside on my deck. What temperatures are good for growing? I live in New Jersey, so it’s still a bit cool 41–61.
I bought an inexpensive LED, but it doesn’t have a timer–the one pictured above has a timer.
How dark for 12 hours–the sunroom that they are in is still bright if I go 8 a.m to 8 p.m.
Do I need to put her in a closet?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
@Bertram if your certain it’s an auto than Mothers Day is a typical timeframe to put the ladies outside but if it’s photo and already sexually mature it may start to flower early due to shortened light schedules outside this time of year and then it’ll quit flowering as the days subsequently lengthen…. That’s a re-veg state. If it’s auto light doesn’t dictate your finishing date.
