Godfather OG Outdoor Grow Community Event Number 2

Week 13

Seeds started: 4
Seeds sprout and making it: 3
Days since sprout: 92 or so
Flowering: Al on 07/29, Cagney 08/03/25 , and Brando 8/01/25
Nutes; Green Planet flowering regimen, fed on mon and Wed for Cagney, monitoring Al for any deficiencies
Watering every 3rd day without rain for the city side planties. Brando, banished to the hinterlands, being punished by the crushing late summer of the mid-south, did have rain out there three days in the last 7
Weather: storms, temps between 88-100F highs, lows around mid 70s to low 80s, humidity between 69-74% most days.

I have to stand on a milk crate, stretch as high up as I can to get the cola photo of Al. Beast of a plant with heavy sativa leaning growth pattern. Starting to become aromatic, prompting me to start exploring fencing options for a JIC scenario. All the bud sites are building up now and not a sign of issues with either pests or disease. I did a preventative spray of milk and water for powdery mildew as my peonies have it and I am about to remove them.

Cagney is short stubby and enjoying lower altitudes. Bud sites not as well developed but I think will pick up here. Feeding flowering Green planet ratios with added Liquid Weight and Rezin on deck for the later weeks.

Brando is all lonely on the mountain. But the heat wave breaks this week and Saturday is looking good for a mountain excursion.

If I had electricity, water, or decent shelter out there it would be a lot easier. But let’s face it: Brando’s single mini nug isn’t bringing home the bacon for this grow. But it is a practical experiment in what happens with the worst possible Conditions, chronic neglect, and how much our interventions actually improve our grows.
Til next week pharmers of the most(Ly) high

Number of days from sprout : 90.

Number of days since flowers identified : 27 for 1.
Other, the pistils are just starting to cluster the last few days.

Day/Night temp and RH : Was mid 80’s to low 90’s days. With low 60’s at night. R H has been 80’s to 90 ish % most mornings. Drops to the 40’s through the day.

Watering/feeding frequency : Was almost daily through the heat but cooler now so should be every 2-3 days going forward.

Grower comments :
Couldn’t resist tonight and drove my nose into the more developed girl’s top cola for a good sniff.
Was almost a bit nutty with some fruity sweetness there too. :face_savoring_food:
Can’t wait to try it in a nice J. :+1:

And the other just starting fuzz up on the tips.

Taller of the 2 by a good 6 inches.
Had some hard rain and colder temps last night so they were a bit slow to perk up today.

Guess that’s all for now.
Till next week folks.
Keep em green. :folded_hands:

Day/Night temp and RH 100s day 60s night. Rh low 20s to teens. Its dry as all heck at my place. Monsoon rains have played dodgeball with me. Absolutely dry
Watering/feeding frequency everyday they get some water. Yucca and humic always, jacks bloom booster at half strength a couple times a week, cal mag at half strength once a week to 10 days.
Grower comments got some nice buds stacking, getting a light fruity- herbal, spicey notes on the smell. Great plant structure. I did a little pruning of lower limbs and middle foliage. Very light prune. She is kinda thick in the middle too.ill do more as she develops. Still waiting for some rain. We went for 15 days of 100+ temps at my place, should end that today. High 90s still…

Happy growing you’all :call_me_hand:

Number of seeds dropped- 5
Number of plants to make it- 3
Number of days from sprout- 91 or so
Number of days since flowers- 14-21 days roughly, depending on the plant.
Day/Night temp and RH- 75-95 days. 62-72 nights. RH- 45-65%
Watering frequency-
Daily watering on the fabric bags, about a gallon or so each, sometimes a little more. I let them get to runoff and then sit in the small amount of runoff to reabsorb back up into the fabric bags. Anything left after about 30-45 minutes I dump out of the catch trays. The hydroponic one is still drinking like crazy. At least 6+ gallons a day.
Growers comments- just my observations… Green bag is definitely taller and lankier than the orange bag but is starting to fill out in the bud structure more than it was. The orange bag is much bushier and has more thickness. Has a more true cola shaping to the buds which are still bulking up with beautiful pistils. About a week ahead of the others. Tote growth is still explosive for height and girth, I’m honestly dumbfounded at how big she has gotten. I’ve changed my Masterblend nutes to the orange bag and the tote. Of note, this week I cut back on the Cal-Nitrate again of the Masterblend 3-part. In my Masterblend masterclass post here on the forums, the formula is supposed to be 4 parts tomato formula, 2 parts epsom salt, and 4 parts Ca-Nitrate. I cut the Cal-Nitrate down to 2 parts as this is where the majority of the nitrogen is derived from. I did increase the Epsom salts to 2.5. I am still adding 50ml of Cal-Mag when I make a 25 gallon batch to hopefully make up for the calcium loss. The CX is at full strength, Part A and B, but have added the Head Masta and Bloom Enhancer to the mix as well. When using just Part A and B, there is a light blue color to the CX. When I add the other enhancers, it turns to the same light greenish color that the Masterblend has and is also a little cloudy.

Here’s the girls today. Hope you enjoy them:

Green bag, CX Nutrients. About 45 inches tall now.

Orange bag, Masterblend Nutrients. About 34 inches tall now. Not really getting much more height, but starting to bulk up well.

Here’s the hydroponic tote, Masterblend Nutrients, about 50 inches tall now. This girl is just an absolute beast in size. Wide like a linebacker. Can’t wait to see the end result.

Afterthoughts: this is my second run of doing hydroponics outside in a side-by-side comparison with plants in bags and pots with soil. In both instances, and I’m not saying that it’s an absolute scientific fact, the hydroponics have far outperformed the soil fabric bags. The plants did get bigger going from 5-gallon to 10-gallon bags, but still not anywhere near what the hydroponic ones do. That said, my largest plants are those put in the garden ground soil. If you look at my ILGM Goldleaf plant in other posts, it’s my second plant in that area over 2 years that has topped a 10-12 foot height by harvest.

Week14

Seeds started: 4
Seeds sprout and making it: 2 (it’s officially, Brando didn’t make it )
Days since sprout: 100ish
Flowering: Al on 07/29, Cagney 08/03/25 , and Brando is resting under flowers, specifically lilies, no more updates
Nutes; Green Planet flowering regimen, fed on Monday and Thursday for Cagney, Al is fed promises and water
Weather: much better for beast and greens: 80s highs and in the 60s for lows, comfortable humidity but no rain. Watered three times with green planet nutes on two.

Growers notes:
Brando is officially dead. Long live Brando. There wasn’t even a leaf left on the brown stem.

Al has their own zip code. The buds on this thing are the same size I have at harvest, and I still have five weeks or so to go!

Cagney has an unusual self topping thing going on. Buds are like teenagers trying to figure out their political views on that plant. Nothing makes sense.

Have contingency plan in place in case anybody gets a frisky feeling about harvesting my
Plant. ( My property borders six-four family flats and I always have new neighbors…can’t trust anyone.) but as for tonight, both are thriving and enjoying the cooler temps.

I sat in my chair getting herbally balanced next to those plants tonight. They are so chill. Stay baked my OGs of the OG.

Watered in some silica this evening. Sprayed purecrop1 and BT yesterday. Found more bug damage on the big Godfather OG. I had the remove 2 buds off of one of the big colas. Still dealing with leaf hoppers but they are getting less and less as the nights get cooler.

Week 15

Seeds started: 4
Seeds sprout and making it: 2
Days since sprout: 107
Flowering: Al on 07/29, Cagney 08/03/25
Nutes; Green Planet flowering regimen, fed on Monday and Thurs for Cagney and water on Saturday , Al is fed promises and water
Weather: freckin gorgeous. High 80s and lows are starting to actually feel like lows, low 60s

Growers notes:
Overall my mobster garden is going well. I do see a little possible re-strickening of PM showing on Cagney so tomorrow is another Milk treatment. This shot was of the tops as best I could. Cagney is looking all sorts of funky and little buds while Al’s main cola is over a foot long and her other buds are downright impressive. Next outdoor grow I do will all be in the wine barrels. I have a mix of
Living soil and compost in em all and it seems to be the right stuff. Started in FFOF and let it finish on its own terms. I still did a strong feeding on Monday and a weak one Thurs for Cagney. Water was really needed after all sun and no rain for the last 8 days or so.
Fall y’all is gonna be fun, wonder what the plants are gonna do for their fall colors.
