The GFOG in the dog run is growing 3+ inches a day. She went from a foot tall to over 2ft in the last 4 days. The youngest of the GFOG’S was transplanted outside 4 days ago. I think she is gonna out grow the one by the pond that’s been struggling from the beginning from over watering in the solo cup and nearly damping off.
Were supposed to get some monsoons next week, the first of the season. Waiting for the dew point to reach 51°

Growers comments- Things have been coming along well. The two in the 10-gallon fabric bags are doing about equally well. I just upped both the Masterblend and the CX nutrients to full veg strength today, including in the hydroponic bucket. The fabric bags were both around 21 inches tall and the hydro was about 15 inches. Surprising because usually the hydro outperforms the soil in the early stages. I’m wondering if I should have been a little more nutrient aggressive with that one, but she does look healthy to me. Topped all 3 and took about a 1.5 inch cut from the top. I’m going to try cloning them (never done a clone before). I made a nice cut, added some rooting powder and stuck the 3 in GH Rapid Rooter plugs. I did add some very diluted nutrients, put them in a seedling starter house with 24 hour LED’s in the roof dome. We will see what happens. It’s always nice to try something new. If it kinda works, I’ll think about diving into that aspect of growing. If it doesn’t, I’ll just keep doing my thing. Here’s my pictures, hope you like them. Have a great day everyone.

Week 6

Seeds started: 4
Seeds sprout and making it: 3
Days since sprout: 41
Flowering: none
Nutes; none
Watering every day three days with rain since last update so not as much
Temps pretty hot in 90s lows 80s but the rain came through now in 80/70s. Raining tonight.

Grower’s notes:

  • Al in the wine barrel is absolutely killing it. Big green fan leaves without a speck of a pest. I did have one plant next to her show up with powdery mildew so that plant was vacated but no spots in her. Easily doubled in size in a week, love the response the extra soil is having
  • Cagney is not as quick or big but doing a solid performance.
-still not sure about Brando my mountain grown plant today, conditions were not ideal to venture up the mountain pass. I have a bad feeling the mountain attempt will be failure based on recent weather. I hope I’m wrong. I find out Friday.

All in all a great start. But if Al keeps giving up this Olympic sprint of growth I’m gonna have to do some Topping. Figured out recently a neighbor in an apartment bordering my property has a really good sniffer

Grower comments- I did a topping last week on all 3 of the girls. Took the tops and put some root hormone on them and put them in GH Rapid Rooter plugs. They ain’t dead yet! Good sign as far as I’m concerned. If they make it and the roots start popping out, I’ll transplant into some fabric bags outside. That will be my very first clone experience but I’m not taking it too seriously. Just fun. The two in the 5-gallon fabric bags have reached about 24-25inches. Please remember that 1 (orange bag) is Masterblend 3-part nutrients and the other (green bag) is CX nutrients. The hydro is also Masterblend. Hydro is at about 17 inches tall. I restricted the nutrients in the hydro to correspond with the growth stage but the bags both got full advanced veg levels in the nutrients. I’m wondering if that is why the hydro is behind, not pushing hard enough. I was afraid of the water not being able to buffer like the soil does. Everything looks good, just trying to draw some conclusions for moving forward on future grows. Hope everyone has a great Sunday.

Seeds started: 4
Seeds sprout and making it: 3
Days since sprout: 48
Flowering: none
Nutes; none
Watering every day in the city, letting Mother Nature do her thing in the mountain with rain
Temps 70s lows and up to 95F highs

Grower’s notes:
-Al in the wine barrel towers over Cagney in the 15L. Just destroying the growth chart. Found a spot of PM, hit it with some milk water.
-Cagney still trucking along. No pests on either plant  making this grow much nicer than my indoor plants
-Brando the Mountaineer is now rocked in by shade after the last sprout of forest growth. Next visit up I am transplanting to a full sun area again. Not any real appreciable difference since planting.

Rain over the weekend and milder temps, all during a growing phase of the moon should help stretch these ladies up even more. Loving their lives in the outdoor grow room

Grower comments- I did a topping two weeks ago on all 3 of the plants. The tops in the root hormone are still going strong. Will transplant this week into soil. Excited for my newcloning experience but I’m still not taking it too seriously, just for fun. The two in the 5-gallon fabric bags have reached about 28-29 inches, so about 4 inches og growth since last week. More impressive to me is the way they are starting to bulk up. Please remember that 1 (orange bag) is Masterblend 3-part nutrients and the other (green bag) is CX nutrients. The hydro is also Masterblend. Hydro is now about 24 inches tall, a 7 inch growth in the week! I had restricted the nutrients in the hydro until this last week but bumped it up to full strength. The fabric bags had both been givenboth got full levels of the nutrients. I’m sure that it really helped. Everything looks good, all the plants look like they are starting to hit their growth stride now. Hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday and that your growsare going well.

All 3 plants. I think the Masterblend is a little bushier but the CX is about an inch taller. Probably just normal deviation:

Hydro with full nutrients. You can see the 2 main colas that are growing from my topping 2 weeks ago. 7 inches taller this week…wow!
