Got ya yeah I’m definitely going to step up wattage as well when I rebuild just for my flower box the lights I got now kick but just need more power lol
Power(light) = denser bud right
My edges could be brighter. No doubt those will be fluffier buds compared to the monsters I’m hoping to get in the main canopy.
You’ll have big ones with your set up for sure bro
Your grow is sweet looking bro no worries
Thanks man!
I was looking at the par series viparspectra line ? A little more$ then the reflector series but I think it might be worth the extra couple $
Crap…! That’s a huge consideration Matthew thank you
… tonight I’m going to turn my six hundred hps up to a thousand LOL I don’t have to worry about height, this and that, lumens power or anything else, I’m just going to blast it like being down the beach when I turned that to a thousand watts, it just punches through the canopy!
these led lights I’m sure they’re great they’re very impressive and I’m definitely going to give it a try but I love a thousand watt of high pressure sodium…!
… I would put my beach chair in there if I had room…!
@Matthew420 what size is your grow tent and what are your lights and how many again? And I follow what you did with the spacing.
How much spacing between lights? I know I’ve seen a few pics of your tent. Do you move your lights up as plants grow?
Because of the space issues I have I actually put my light up as far as I could for now and I’m going to move my plant down. I’ve actually experienced a growth spurt and I’m actually able to see noticeable growth over the last 24 hours though my light are fine for another week at least.
Interesting thread guys. I’ve read down through all of them, but I’m in and out till about 8pm or so. Papa duties! Lol
@Paranorman you’re cracking me up and I think we all feel your pain lol. Easy on the tanning!
@bob31 Tent is 5’ x 5’ x 6.5’
I have to Viparspecta 900’s centered in the middle, about 8"-9" spacing between them. During veg, I kept them 24" above the canopy but starting at 38" above and slowly moved down. For flower, I have them about 18" above. Just what the manual says.
Then running down the sides of the tent I have two 4ft LED tubes (4 total). I use those to catch the outside edge where the big LED’s faded in power. Those are just a few inches over the edges.
I hope I answered everything.
I’m trying to get a cheap full spectrum (about 150$) led light and set up at least 20 regular 800 lumens led bulbs in a 4x4 tent. This is the first time I grow and I have readed a lot, so my logic tells me that what is really important is the amount of light (we are talking about at least 16000) and no heat at all. The think is that I have been growing a crushed seed that I found in a bag in my living room under a 800 lumens regular LED lamp and she just keep getting beautiful and stronger, that’s why want to experiment with some cheap items and see if I got some good yields before expending money on a professional lamp. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thank you!
Hey guys y’all helped me decide on the mars 300 but I’m concerned about it turning my plant into a hermie since it don’t have a veg switch. Should I be concerned about that?
Ok I don’t have read the follow reply and gone a read after this reply… So, all lights gone a blend and add up and that increase lumens and you should consider it and you should also take this in the equation in a square feet area consideration. Back to the reading
Here you go… good light for price.
Yeah that’s the light that I was thinking about, so should I forget about setting up the 20 extra led bulbs? (which I got for free).
I’d just use a few in my tent for side lighting.
So, @Matthew420 is right about the over “lapping” that adds up and blend in the middle and the side are weaker in lumens, however, to correct the blending effects that increase the lumens in the middle and even the lumens in the total area , you should put them farther away , in a more 1/2, 1/3, 1/4 partition to even up the distribution of lumens .
I hope that’s not too confusing and hope that’s helping you @bob31 @Matthew420 and other to understand a little bit more lumens distribution
No need to worry about that @Swan1234
Your good bro
alright thanks man
Will do Sir, Will do Will
@Matthew420 yes, I think you did answer everything. Thanks for the more in depth explanation.
Ok bob…very funny…lmao
