Whoever said this growing is a addiction was right, just glad I don’t smoke the stuff.
Excellent start, keep this thread as a grow journal Growmie. It’ll save posting multiple new threads and all entries can be easily seen by the community
Thank you
I am so addicted, I am afraid to leave the girls alone.

I start my winter 2024-24 grow 11-1-24.
Doing better next round is the challange.
Good growing to you.
Diagnose or understand without asking delays (important, IMO).
Well I’m excited to have something to do and something new to learn about, since I work from home, the mind numbing of a keyboard will drive you mad.
As I stick my head out the “window” and ask
“How do I look?”
Movie quote.
Clue DH/SMcQ
I never watched “Here’s Johnny”.
Me neither
I have spent the last 2.5 years learning on forum.
Learned more than the last 40 years.
Maybe I will graduate after 4 years (or 7, like college).
Don’t think you can graduate from this lol
So I have a couple cloth bags and I have a Styrofoam container, can you grow successfully in foam or is there more things that have to be watched and done?
Growing in the Styrofoam container?
IDK, My vote, NO.
No air can come into sides or bottom of soil container.
Drainage?
I use grow bags. IMO, they work better than plastic buckets.
This is why we ask this questions I didn’t think so either but you know I’ve seen some crazy stuff done.
Yeah I was going to use the grow bags regardless but doesn’t hurt to ask.
You could, but that “cooler” is more valuable for other used, IMO.
!,2,or 3-gal cloth bags are great for indoor plants and they also grow into larger bags if placed for growing.
This tote received a 5-gal bag.
Blue tote one clone, and orange bucket (swamp cooler)
So you got the tote in the blue bucket with dirt around it?
Can I use it to catch the run off if I place something on the bottom to prop up the bags?
Drip pans work well.
Last post of mine above, answered:
5-gal bag plant was grown outdoor summer 2023 (6-weeks, I was gone).
5-gal stuck into tote that was half filled with dirt.
Filled and added training stakes/poles.
Moved in August, whil i could still move it into tent.
Tented and flipped.
a month later,
One lady in tent.
Almost worth the aphid invasion, I created.
2024 Clone Farms
2024 outdoor, 5-gal bag growing inside 10-gal bag.
Stakes and tied.
I use totes and bags.
Yes bag on “riser” in drip pan
this clone was just “bagged” (up-planted from dixie cup), Yesterday.
Soil FFOF,HF, perlite, and bio-char. then watered.
Sounds good appreciate all the help and feedback.
While I have you how long do I grow in solo cups I wanted to start there this round
Multiple “correct” answers.
IMO, at least until leaves extend past cup circumference.
Then longer if desired.
Really a personal choice.
Many advocated for "clear cups, residing in red solo cups?
Advantage, lift clear and look at roots.
Pictured clone was only red solo cup, until 3-gal bag.
some come fro Big-gulp solo cups, when roots are abundant.
Thanks.
