Nice work and looking good Growmie :muscle::muscle::love_you_gesture:

Much appreciated! Besides just a few issues getting started, this grow has pretty much been on cruise control. Having installed a large nutrient reservoir and controlling and monitoring through my AC Infinity Pro controllers has made this grow an awesome experience.

Hello Growmies!
It’s been a while!

Thought I’d drop in a nd give an update.

52 days since flipping the lights.

Strawberry Cough’s leaves are starting to turn some pretty colors. Most of the pistils have turned amber and drawing up. The leaves starting to turn pretty colors! I’ll start looking at the trichomes next weekend.

TrainWreck isn’t in as much of a rush as her roommate.

Quick question for y’all:
I’m currently running 2 Mars Hydro TS3000 lights. I’m planning on retiring them after this grow. What do y’all recommend as replacements? I want the highest quality/output light I can get my hands on. I’m leaning toward the HLG Diablo scorpions. Thoughts?

Your plant’s are beautiful…
Just curious why you are changing out your lights ?
It looks like you are having great results so far with what you are running now…
That said…
I started and ran for years with HID lighting and oldschool magnetic ballist’s and just recently changed up to hlg scorpion LEDS and i am liking them alot…
Super dense buds , im actually still trying to figure them out as far as how intense they can be , it’s very different than the heat output of an HID setup…
But so far i like the HLG lighting…

Thanks @peachfuzz To be honest, it’s out of pure laziness. I want to be able to leave the lights up high and just adjust light intensity. My thoughts process is that I get I higher wattage led and just keep it at the highest point of the tent. I actually did that for the Strawberry Cough this go round. They did real well but I know from the last grow that it affected my yield.

I run scrogg tables , so plant height or adjustability is a no go…
My light height is my only adjustability , but my new HLG lights came with these bad azz ratchet adjustable doohickies that make raising and lowering the lights a peice of cake…
Maybe just buy some of their rachet doohickies if you don’t want to drop any cash on the new lights…
Im not sure about the lights that you already have , but i can say that the HLG’s are pretty sick , not too happy about the price , but they should be the last lights that i ever buy , so theres that

Oh I agree! They’re proud of them but I believe that’s the ones I’m going to get. They have a larger veg and flower footprint than my current lights.

Hello Growmies! Harvested both plants last weekend and put them in the dry tent. Just about ready to bag up. The Misses has tried both and has given her seal of approval!

Also,
I’ve signed up for some online classes at the university for Cannabis agriculture. Looking forward to increasing my knowledge in this field that I’ve discovered a passion for.

I didn’t realize that you were new to this beautiful hobby… :green_heart:
Well it looks like you did a mighty fine job my friend  :+1: :ok_hand: :evergreen_tree:
What strains were they again if you don’t mind?
Looking forward to your next grow… :grinning:

They were Strawberry Cough and TrainWreck.

I’m about three years into it now. This will be my fourth completed hydro grow.

Time to get another greaux on! This geaux round I’m trying my hand with some Durban Poison. This will be my second attempt to grow DP. Last attempt was an outdoor guerilla grow which ended in failure. Three quarters off the way through the grow I was hospitalized and wasn’t able to tend to them.

Soaked and germinated my seeds this weekend.

Hopefully we have better results this time!

Good Morning!

The second seedling needed a little assistance coming out of the cube. Looked like it was bounded up. Hopefully it’ll perk up. If not, I might start another seed of a different strain.

Also worth mentioning that I reworked the plumbing and went with 13 gallon buckets from Current Culture.

With this setup, I dramatically reduced the recirculation. The water flow is just enough to keep the water temperature at 68°f. It’s being monitored by one of my AC Infinity probes in one of the buckets.

I have it running into the bucket via tubing plugged on one in. So far it’s holding up.

DP starting to put down roots. Today, I introduced Jack’s 321 nutrients at 25% strength. PPM leveled out at 360 which was a little higher than what I wanted but I’m not going to make any adjustments right now.

Is this your normal process?? I’ve always gone full strength from the start with jacks :love_you_gesture: looking good Growmie

Out of curiosity, what do your baskets look like after being mauled by those big mamas?

Yes. I’ve followed Kootmed’s feeding chart for my last few hydro grows. But, I’ve read plenty of post from hydro growers that go full strength from the start. It makes sense. I’ve put seedlings in full strength FFOF soil and have had no issues so why not in hydro?

If I start from seed, they’ll be destroyed and unusable but if I’m starting with clones, not as bad due to the clone not having a tap root. The stem will cause the basket to swell up but they’ll go back to they’re original shape after removal. With a little patience and some pruners, I can cut them out of the baskets. The DP seedlings are in the baskets I used on a previous grow using clones.

I went back to see if I took some photos of the baskets. Here’s a couple I found.
