Situation/Scenario…
Simple 3’x5’ tent in attic. To maximize airflow and manage smell, I will be utilizing both 4" and 6" fans and carbon filter, along with portable AC.
The AC will have a hose ported to bottom of tent. But I’m not sure the best way to set the vacuums up. One up top and one on other side? Which one where?
Suggestions strongly encouraged.

You’ll want the stronger fan for the exhaust in order to create the negative pressure. The ac will also help with the negative pressure. You’ll definitely want a filter on the intake since simple movement in the attic will kick up fiberglass dust. Don’t think you’ll have to worry too much about odor. That should travel out of your ridge vents (unless there’s a hole in your HVAC ducts).

Update…
Had to buy another fuh-reaking tent. The 3x5x6½ I got a few weeks back is great, but it absolutely will not fit in the attic, without me cutting into the roof beams. Warranties and insurance… 2 things I ain’t gonna mess up. But I digress.
A 2x4x6 is on the way. It will fit in the triangle space that is the floor/wall/roof of the attic. It’s the saaaaaaaame size and dimensions the entire length of the attic.
But ya, if this don’t work, then I’m SOL basically until my stepdaughters graduates in 2 years and leaves the nest and we convert her room, but we ain’t forcing her and hey, I just found out that my truck has adjustable pedals. Ain’t that sumthin? Just push the up or down button on a little pad and voila!
Wait a second, rest. A joint and a rest. That’s what I need. Tent will be here Tuesday. The 350r is going to absolutely BLAST in it. Night y’all. Reupdate soon…

My new 2x4 got here pretty late in the evening, but it is assembled in the attic, with the light hanging. I was beat last night, so I’ll do fans/filters after work today. Only downside in seeing to the tent, is the zipper follows the entire outer edge. I could put it in a giant room, and I’d still have to start unzipping at the bottom of the back side, follow a aaaaall the way to the front and… It’s just a lot of zipping and unzipping. I’m going to leave the bottom slightly unzipped… Zipper

If its like mine there should be 2 zippers. I zip a bottom one from the back corner, around to left side of “door”. I keep the top zipper with it at lower left side of “door”. To open, cross bottom, up right side of “door”, then back to top left corner.

There should be a velcro tag on the top inside part of the door, that will have its other half on the exterior left side to keep the “door” open.

Shoot, that’s not the answer I was looking for. LOL . My hubby is not into me growing weed in the house, he’s tired of smelling weed 24/7. And after everything I went through at the start of possibly growing outside and the humidity factor in the Mid-Atlantic, I’m not wanting to grow outside. So I told him, I’d get a tent and it will hold the smell in and only come out when I enter / exit the tent… I guess I was wrong on that assumption.

If you keep the tent closed at all times, it might help a little… but for someone who can’t stand the smell, it won’t make a big difference, unfortunately.
You’d need a good carbon filter and a good airflow strategy to help more.
And, ironically, the better you get at growing, the worst this problem gets… 
Since I don’t do any of that, and I smell like weed 24/7… I would ask people like @Growdoc , @Budbrother , @Dman1969 , @AfgVet …

Tents in themselves don’t hold smell in, weed will find a way out of most materials. The key to hiding smell is a good carbon filter and inline fan, set to keep the tent at slightly negative pressure, nothing escapes a vacuum. 
My room is setup same way, plus both my areas are vented through the big carbon barrel filter I made before discharging through the floor.

I have a 9’ x 18’ room I grow in. I have a 8 in AC Infinity carbon filter and Fan used as a standalone scrubber. No duct work and it works perfectly in the house. But my window unit has a slight smell outside.
If I didn’t have the window unit it would be smell proof.

LOL… yes when were are in the house all day we do go nose blind, but it’s when we leave and come home it hits you in the face BIG TIME. He’s not a big fan of me smoking or growing… too long of a story there…
