First time grower - new tent and light AGAIN!

From what I can see that’s not a flower but a new leaf growing out from a new node

Just new leaf growth. You’ll see hairs or spikes poking out of node points before calyxes show.

Doing LST looks much easier on a Utube video than when actually doing it, but I took my time and found it quite relaxing after a little while

Training and working with the plants is almost therapy for me. Looking good :v:

It’s hard not to stress over your first grow or two. There’s a lot of hope and expectations, on top of needing some return on your investment. But it gets easier! If it doesn’t, may not be the best hobby for that individual. I’ve found the key for me is to stay grounded and keep my expectations and goals reasonable. It’s difficult not to get a big head when all your buddies go nuts over your stash, or not lose your cool when you hit a bump in the road. But it will always work out if you stay positive and diligent.

Thanks @dbrn32 - I am very happy with the results so far. What do you about these lights for the flower tent?

The roleadro cob fixture is in use by at least a few members here. So far they all seem to think it’s pretty good for the money. If I remember, @Countryboyjvd1971 said it put off a little more heat than most of his other led fixtures. But I’m pretty sure he was thinking there was a little more energy out of them too. I’m sure he’ll be by when he sees the tag.

I was going to buy two of those plus the other 600W do you think that’s too much? Heat hasn’t been a big issue with the Viparspectra but I do leave the tent open a bit at the top of the door and that won’t be an option with the flowering light cycle.

How much will all that run, and what size space are you looking to cover with it?

I guess what I’m wondering is, your plan is to keep the vipar in 3x3 veg tent right, and then put those 3 different lights into another 3x3 for flowering?

That’s the idea - grow box with CFLs for seedlings, Viparspectra for vegging and the final tent with those Roleadros. Perpetual grow if I can the hang of it

Flower tent is in the pic with the lights - 3x3x80"

I already know what @dbrn32 is about to say…

Seedling and veg area sound good from my perspective. I think that’s a little overkill for a 3x3 for flowering tent though. Both in amount of light, and more so in amount of fixtures. Keeping three different fixtures together in that small of area will be a task for sure.

We were talking about the possibility of quantum boards in the other thread right? I’m only asking because I’m assuming you decided not to go that route, or I was talking about them with someone else and lost track?

That’s because you are also thinking the same thing I just posted haha! On top of having them, and first hand knowledge.

Yes to both of you @MattyBear and @dbrn32 - the quantum board looked interesting and then the brain melting thing happens.

Would this be your choice for that size tent?

Or just the cob Roleadros?

That’s the one! No need for brain melting haha. What would you like to understand better? I’m sure I can help with that.

Also, you can probably save the couple bucks and assemble yourself. I’ll go find instructional video and post it here for you.

Thanks - I’ll watch it - but that building part and drivers etc is where the brain gets lost. I think I would just pay the $25 to have them build it. My question would be is it just plug in and go once they build it?

I think that’s why I was going down the Roleadro road - need to Keep it simple but I don’t want to shortchange myself or my grow. I want this first set up to work for a while.
