First time grower. BB, GSCE, and GG autos

Hey @ReelOfishalTrees looks like @Graysin hooked you up with a solid reply there.

Ignore all of Jack’s products except part A.
You can get part B which is calcium nitrate from them or from somewhere local it’s your choice, same goes for Epson salts whicba re actually called magnesium sulfate.
Most dry nutrients use the same part B&C but just use a different part A.
If your running coco you’ll want a silica product I recommend Agsil16H because it’s the Jack’s of silica basically, dry and high quality vs bottled expensive stuff.

Then your biggest addative would be a beneficial bacteria product, I recommend fishshit by fish head farms and Hellraiser is just doing a test of tribus vs fishshit with him leaning towards fishshit because of cost and either identical or slightly better results.

Combine this with autopots and your laughing, about a year ago this forum really started to slowly switch over to Jack’s before it seemed only me and sick were using it and Infact I was using chemgro wich is a very similar product Jack’s just has a easier scedule so I have decided to go with it from now on.

Hope your questions were answered if not shoot me a tag

So I’m going to order the Jack’s A&B, but I was wondering since I am running RO water do I get the RO version of Part A “feed” or just get the regular Part A. I am going to wait to experiment with coco until I start my photos and get some clones going. So will I need to get the fishsh!t if I am running soil as a medium? I did get a bag of recharge so I’m not sure if that would work in place of the fishsh!t or if they are differnt (I haven’t researched fishsh!t yet as I’m still at work) @Nicky

Ignore all of the other products by Jack’s. Do not use the RO or tap or anything else, no flower or flush or booster or whatever they try and sell you.

Jacks part A B and magnesium sulfate is the base nutrient.
Mkp is a bulk ingredient you can order and that can be used as a booster but you have your fox farms for now so use that lightly.

Recharge is good use it about once a week in coco, in soil once a week when you start feeding.

However I would get away from recharge when your empty and buy fishshit as it’s a much better product for what it does in terms of microbes and not messing with nitrogen/kelp.

Ok, thank you very much for the info! Going to order the Jack’s now.

Any of the name fertilizer will work it’s basically the same stuff if one’s a 5-0-6 and the other brand is a 5-0-6 then they have the required amount of that formula. I used canna for coco o this grow but ran out about little over halfway through the grow and that stuff isn’t cheap I also had the other recommended additives (rizotonic, canyzyme) all together I think it was around 140 bucks my last grow I started with GH 3 part and ran out so I picked up the GH Duo gallon jugs plus liquid koolbloom and floralicious and I would say my results speak for themselves.

Instead of fish shit, have you heard of Mycochum? Got a couple bottles but was scared to use it on first run. Waiting for someone that has heard of it or used it. Lowers pH alot!

I put ~10ml in a gallon of bubbling RO water and the ph dropped to ~3.5

The ingredients look so good for plants…kelp, molasses, etc

I don’t follow… 5-0-6?
What type of nkp ratio is that?
Canna is over priced as is anything else in a bottle, paying for the cost of water to be shipped all over the place.

Ro water doesn’t hold PH. Put some tap water in it check the ppm and then see what it does. The higher the ppm the hard to change the PH…

Oh I see what @Jaydawg6528 is saying about the Mycochum being near a 5-0-6
Yeah I’m sure many are fine so go ahead and use what you have but fishshit is the best to my knowledge tried and tested even against tribus and other products.

:man_facepalming:of course thank you, I’m a noob

Mycochum is about that ratio its : 1 - 0 - 3

…with molasses, fish hydrolysate, liquid kelp, and humid acids

I didn’t know any better until. I googled that product and seen the ratio otherwise I thought he was trying to compare 5-0-6 to Jack’s part A lol

So running Jack’s A&B with epsom salt, I will have no use for Cal-Mag+ anymore? Or do you recommend to still use it? From looking at the product, A&B with epsom salt will cover what cal-mag does unless I’m not understanding this correctly? I’m asking because I’m going to send back my fox farms Trio and if there is no need for the Cal-Mag+ then I will send that back as well. @Nicky ?

Correct cal mag is part of the nutrient already

Once again, thank you for the incredible information. I’m out of likes, but more coming soon lol

Lol no sweat

For 25lbs of each (A&B&epsom) it’s $130 shipped. Returning my calmag and Trio will get me back $50 of that lol. So all 5 Gorilla Glue and all 5 girl scout cookies extreme have cracked open with tap roots sticking out, but none of the 5 Bruce banners have even cracked. It’s been 21 hours.

Remove them all and put in damp paper towel into a Ziplock bag (keep them labeled or separate) then place in a light proof container and put them somewhere warmer then room temp.
Like a cable box or resting Ontop of a furnace or inside a grow tent (light proof container!)

That 25lb will last you a while.
I run hydro and it lasts me about a year

Ok thanks for the tip. Currently sitting in my basement on top of my water heater. It’s 72 degrees in my basement atm plus the heat my water heater gives off lol

I must tag along, too. I wish I had started with your set up. wowza! You are definitely in the groove. May you grow some bud-o-licious ladies.

Thanks! I figured if I dove in, it might as well be with a decent set up. More or less of a buy once cry once. Wish I knew more about my lights before I bought them and got better ones. I figured if I could give my plants a great environment it would be less variables involved on producing quality buds.
