Hello everyone,
So I’ve been growing and learning as time goes by. Recently I picked up some octopots for my next grow. I’m not going to use the self watering part of the system and just keep an eye on it and add water when needed to the units.
I bought FF Coco Loco for the soil. My question is this.
Is there anyone in here that have used these or are still using them. I’m curious as to what problems to watch out for being a cross between soil and hydro. This will be my first for this unit. Been growing in soil only so I’m hoping to get some good insight. Plan on starting a journal in here when my seeds sprout. Thanks everyone.

@Poseidon uses octopots here’s a link to his journal. I’ve ask him about the octopots and he was very helpful. I believe he uses Coco Loco in his

Octopots are Awesome!!! Probably the best Shallow Water Culture hybrid system for plants (IMO).
You need to use a 60/40 coco/perlite mix. Coco Loco is the perfect mix 
I use Advanced Nutrients PH Perfect Connoisseur so I never worry about PH creep. You could also use a Perfect PH tube in the reservoir (maintains PH) and use other Nutes. I can go days without a reservoir fill… great for times when you can’t water.
I have grown some kick ass smoke with these systems… I think you will like it

Doing well, I’m still in soil and fabric pots. I’ll eventually make the jump to coco and possibly octopots.

Cool. I take a look for the perfect ph tube.
I still have nutes from Bergman. From last grow. Shouldn’t be long before they pop up from. Can’t wait for this grow to start.

The Advanced Nutrients PH Perfect Connoisseur nutes. You use the ones for coco correct. I seen the tubes. Little costly for me at the moment. Something to look into for later. I like advanced nutes. I’ve used them before.

Nope, I use the standard ones and add CaliMag when using in the Octopots.
I also grow in Current Culture DWC so I stick to the one product line
Sweet! I am getting tired of growing with air pots and fabric. Think I will use them for veggies next year. The Octopots work so much better for me

Nice looking girls you have growing. Yeah I can’t wait for my two to hit the containers I bought. They getting little bigger. Want to just add them but I’ll wait till they are ready for transplant into new home.
