And also another question. I’m confused on when to remove fan leaves. I see videos of people completely making there plant naked. I’m not sure if when/if to remove leaves. And thanks for being so awesome dude.
I have the HLG 300L r-spec. I had a burple light and was advised it wasnt very good so decided to upgrade to top of the range for my size tent. Was expensive but worth it. Most Chinese lights on amazon are terrible

That’s called lollipopping. Im currently doing that. You dont have to do that though. And best to do when in flower anyway. As your still in veg You can look at you plant. See if any large fan leaf is covering a potential bud site or new grow and pinch it off with your thumb and fore finger. Or pruning scissors that have been washed in rubbing alcohol

Defoliating is my favourite part of growing. Can take hours at a time. I can easily prun over a hundred leaves every week or so.

Oh me too, fam. During late veg and early flower it was hard to keep myself from pulling leaves every night.
Only on my first grow, but I generally tried to thin large fan leaves growing toward the middle of the plant during Veg. to keep the interior open for airflow and light, and I removed any fan leaves blocking what would become tops. My plants were so unhealthy during veg. (Read: My name is r0ck and I am an over waterer), so I’m excited to have a veg. with healthy plants next time around and do some serious work on em.
As Han mentioned, I used a Scrog kit to turn a mess of a plant into one that should produce quite a bit when all is said and done:

So I noticed hairs on my plants today. Is it to early for this?
I also started with LST. The stem is really thick so I bent as much as I felt comfortable with.

-Started in ProMix through 3 gallon pots, and when I transplanted to 7 I used Fox Farms a Happy Frog. The ProMix I used really retains moisture, so I would recommend Happy Frog only as that’s what I’ll be trying for my 2nd grow.
-Lights are 2x HLG 260W RSPEC. One of them is an XL. I plan to get another XL and use those for Flowering and the regular sized one for Veg.
-FF Trio nutrients

@Traw Best way to tell is to use magnifying glass to look at tricomes. If mostly cloudy and some amber it’s ready. If tricomes still clear it still has time. That’s the only for sure method to tell. Can’t always go by hair color
I’m not sure what’s going on here. It’s the only plant out of 7 that’s doing this. I’m running 18/6 for lights. On a timer. Is this plant budding?

I haven’t changed the light cycle I’m confused why she’s like this. The other ones aren’t like this. They have the hairs to show they are fem but nothing like this.
