First Semi-serious grow. Weekly Journal. Indoor Blue Dream/Blue Haze

Awesome thank you. That’s what I was thinking but it was only on that plant. I used 3 gallons to water the 10 gallon pots, I’ll back it off a bit then, thank you!

Alrighty! its been 3 days since last update and watering.
Here are a few pictures of them after the watering. I hadnt ever watered them with that much water before and 1 of them didn’t like it, so scaling that back about half a gallon.

First I wanted to share and link these little plant holders i got, I bought these super cheap and i lined the tent with them to get better air flow under and around the plants. They are the perfect size for my tent (I linked the one I’m using at the top of this thread.)

here is the over watering

These are pictures of the “Runt” underside. Its growing pretty slow and seems to be a bit weak. Not sure why. It gets the same light and water as the others. I also rotate the plants to make sure they get an even dose of light and moving air inside the tent.

Here are some photos of the biggest plant so far. Blue dream and its underbrush. Sorry some of the photos are blurry had a hard time focusing with the light i had. Also Should i cut any of this back? Its SUPER bushy and a lot of leaves aren’t getting much light because of it, or just leave it? I think this question will apply to the next 2 sets of pictures.

This is the next biggest blue dream, also a million leaves. Someone had told me i should shave all the small leaves and weak branches at the bottom. What do you guys think?

Little runt branches like this is what I’m talking about. Do you leave these? seems almost like a waste of energy.

Thats all I’ve got for now! Any feedback would be great! I’m also working on getting a better camera for this so hopefully better pictures soon lol. :+1:

You can tie ur bigger branches down and let the lower ones grow up and get bigger. Butt that one ur pointing to I may get rid of myself.

Way too early to flip. They’re babies

Sweet deal thanks! Yeah there are a couple like that and figured id hack it off. But yeah My problem is I’m strapped for space. And everyone i see tieing down their plants they grow massive and i just don’t have the room for that right now. I underestimated how much space I’d Need for this.

Thanks for the input @arcticGrow, My problem is i don’t know when they aren’t babies. I’m also limited on space. How long do I wait? Or what exactly do i look for to know when its time? I have a lot of great input but also have been given conflicting information and no reasons why on any of it. Haven’t ever grown these from seed so I don’t know what to look for only what information I’ve got is from reading a little but they all say wait X amount of days, but mine look pretty small compared to the ones I’ve seen at this “day” mark. Can you give me a definitive or rule of thumb on when to flip it? Or what I need to look for in order to know when?

typically marijuana plants will double in size after you flip them to the flower cycle (sometimes even a little more than double depending on strain/genetics etc etc) so I would flip them when they become about half of the size you want them to be. you don’t have to get them a certain size before flipping, you can flip anytime you want to. now my personal opinion, I would wait a bit longer before flipping (unless you’re running out of space quickly)

Ohh ok sweet! No I have a little more space but if they all double in size from about what they are now, its going to be quite crowded in the tent lol. They can stand to get a little bigger. And I’m not so worried about getting a massive crop, more so this is just a learning grow for me and I want to get something out of it but I’m more interested in the process.

But thanks for that tip! I appreciate it, maybe I’ll give them another week or 2. 2 of them are really small still. They didn’t get as big and strong as the others did. But much more time and I think they will all outgrow the tent at final flowering stage.

How tall is ur tent?

36x36x72 Actually every single thing im using for everything down to the soil and fans is in the top of the post. I know its a lot of links and garbage up there but thats every single thing ive got. But its not very big. 36x36x72

They stop growing in height also a few weeks into flowering mine only grew about 50% more I wouldnt say double I height its strain dependent.

Ok so u got some height in ur tent then still I’m going to be running in a 2’x4’x6’ tent u have a tone of room for height in ur tent fill that whole canopy up before u flip.

Right now the 2 biggest ones are about a foot tall and about 22 inches across. Ive got 5 plants, if they all reach that size and then say, double, the tent is going to fill up fast lol! What got me into this is a friend gave me 3 plants that were half dead, i nursed them to life but they were tall and skinny. So like a dummy i though that was normal for these plants but i was wrong obviously LOL

Dang, alright, All the way across? I can do that! I didn’t think that’d be good to have it so full like that but screw it ill just grow them till they are freakin bushes and then flip em.

I’ll tag u in my journal take a look it’s in a 4x4

a full canopy is a good thing :stuck_out_tongue: your goal (my goal at least) is to not be able to see the floor in my grow tent haha, I want it to be a jungle in there. any light hitting the floor is wasted light in my opinion. but yes, they can and likely will double in size after flipping, mine do at least…it’s rare to see a plant more than double it’s size though so I wouldn’t worry about them tripling their size or anything. and I’m not really talking about height btw just overall size/bushiness. you can control their height easily and even if they did double in height your tent has plenty room for height anyways
