Water was still higher than I thought. It was still hitting the pot (didn’t account for water displacement of my 1gL ice jug)
Took out just over 4 gallons which was about 18% of the total system. So likely been running far too high till now. Checked ppm and pH and we’ll see how she goes the next few days. She is a bit droopy right now so I suppose that will be my quickest tell, if her leaves perk up. I’ll check in in a few days.
Thanks all.

Wanted to update today as I check roots and they have folksy dropped out the pot. It’s no coincidence that it happened soon after I dropped the water level. Lesson learned on that front!!
Thanks for the help getting me there!

Update: Feb 27th, 2022
26 days since Sprout
Water change today. Emptied old water rinses out Rez and refilled with 14gl of RO water. Updated my CalMag to 4ml per gallons as I am having some nutrient issues and that was one suggestion. Another user thinks I may be battling Chlorosis. Mixed Flora Trio and finished with hydroguard to finish at 1050ppm. Ph to 5.83. I now have three roots out the bottom, about 6-8 inches below pot. I’ll keep an eye on her in the coming days would love to see more color in the outer portion of the leaves. We’ll see how it goes. Also, my HLG light was turned down to 50% so number that up just a bit. Probably about 10% hard to tell as there is no real dial.
Cheers

How intense is your light? (Full, Half,)
How close is your light?
At an early age like they are, too much light or light intensity too high will make them look that way as well. Her roots aren’t strong enough to produce the green chlorophyll in the leaves that your lights may be burning off. JM2C worth.

HLG light. Have it 32” above and light turned down to 50%.

so I wanted to throw this out there as I posted this leave quandary on a reddit board. One responder is very adamant that it is due to overfeeding and is suggesting that I dump the rez and just refill with ph’d water for 2 days. Then slowly start adding nutrients starting at a target of 400ppm and then working up to 2/3 strength at the end of a week. he “guarantee they will look better”.
so wanted to get input as this is opposite what many have responded with here.
Thanks for the feedback guys and gals. Its quite the journey.

Are you using Calmag?
What all are you feeding and in what order are you mixing everything?
Res change may very well be an option.

I am using, in this order,
CalMag - was at 2ml/gL, upped it to 4ml per this past water change
GH FloraMicro
GH FloraGro
GH FLoraBLoom
Hydroguard - 5ml/gL
Good 15 minutes in between each dosing for mixing. Had been around 830ppm (adjusted for base water). Latest rez change I am at 990ppm adjusted
I was more asking about another reply on reddit, he adamant that I my issue is over feed. “Guarantees” that if I dump rez and just run pH’d RO water (no nutes) for 2 days and then slowly start adding nutrients back in over the next 7 days. Targeting ~400ppm to start.
So just wanted to check as the above is complete opposite of what I am hearing on here which is she is hungry.

I think your good. How long has it been since you changed the res?
Always have to remind folks as myself, make sure ph meter is calibrated. A small bump can throw it off.

Just changed on Sunday. So fresh batch in there now. Ima a let it ride and see how she does.

I have seen many say 5 ml /gal of Calmag. Might help with the lack of mag in the leaves giving them the appearance of a light green color.
Also, I experienced this a couple grows back. May not be in your case. But, my leaves looked light green, until I put my hand under the leaf. The leaves were so transparent, the light was reflecting up through the leaf which made it look even a lighter color.
Although I don’t think that’s the case for you. I’d give it a couple of days.
How’s your humidity?

Good info. I know the CalMag bottle states 5ml but always heard that’s too much. But that was probably when I was growing in soil.
RH is just okay. That is my one variable that is all over the map. Stole my youngest humidifier from him room and it only has two settings high as hell and Satan’s ball sack humid. I need to get another one with better settings just want gotten around to it. So my RH moves between high 60s to lower 50s. At this moment it’s 55%

Sh!t. I need that humidifier. Mine has 3 settings. Breathing hard against a window, awkward hat hair condensation, and actively spitting like a tobacco chewer. Good but could use a sweatier than Satan’s ball sack setting.

Update: Sunday March 13th
So still having same issues. She has grow a bit taller but coloring is still looking a bit “pale”. Root development seem to be WAY behind others I see posting here. Also noticed a bit of browning the roots.m so likely root rot starting. So I did a full water change on Friday. Took my system apart and disinfected my tanks, cleaned air stones and all tubing/pipe. Refilled with RO, ph’d and added hydrogen peroxide and let her just sit in that for 30hrs. Wanted to go 48hrs but was going out of town so had to cut that short. Added nutrients to 700ppm last night. Will be gone until Thursday so she is on her own and we will see what happens. Not sure what’s going on. Some pics below, crappy ones didn’t take one of the full plant. Swing as I am starting week 6 roots look way underdeveloped like I mentioned. Also my tile makes the root rot look worse than it was, it was quite mild.

What does the new growth look like?
Lower leaves get chopped off.
Leaves that touch the reflectix will go bad also. I don’t know why but they do.
I don’t remember if it’s been mentioned but there are several folks that run Epson Salt with GH products while in rdwc. You would use 1/4-1/2 tsp/gal. It won’t hurt and will probably help. Add the ES after the nutes and before the hydroguard. And then pH.
Is the water temp cool? Chiller? Sorry, can’t remember.

What’s your water temp looking like?
I’m going to grab @nodurxshn too for advice. If I recall correctly, he also battled some serious root problems.
All I can really say is your hydroguard isn’t doing it’s job. Not sure why.

No chiller, however water temp has never been higher than 71.6. Spends most of its time between 66.5-70. I use a frozen gallon, drop one at 8pm and again at 8am so far it has worked well. (But won’t in summer)

I would use the Epson Salt. It’s only gonna help. Sounds like you’ve got a handle on things. Mixing correctly.
Water level 2” below netpot.
pH meter calibrated.
Room temps are good. If water temp gets too hot, that is usually the “root” cause… haha!, get it…lol
Maybe we can get @peachfuzz again to scroll and see if he might have an idea.
Thanks peachfuzz!

Yep feels like I’m checking the boxes. Just a stubborn plant I guess. I ain’t sweating it anymore, she turn out how she turns out. I’ll keep checking my boxes and sending updates and always open to ideas. I’ll get some MgSO4 added and see how that goes.
Cheers!
