Howdy! Day 62 - my new main girl aka my old stunted plant has officially taken over the tent and is the only girl in there. Taller sister got moved out of the tent.
I flipped to 12/12 yesterday to begin flowering but I’m worried this girl might end up getting too tall for the tent once she stretches from flower so I put up a net to help bend her down a bit. I can’t tie her because her main stem is too thick so I felt the net was my best option.
I’ve got no idea if I’m doing this correctly so if I’ve made an obvious error , please let me know. I feel good about it so we’ll see how she looks in the am.
She smells awesome and I’m already wondering about how you clone a plant if she ends up being really good
Here’s a few after the net and before the net. Yay or nay?
Also I’m not sure if it’s possible but can I change the title of the topic? Was going to change it to “First Grower Makes Mistakes - ILGM WW or something haha. They aren’t autos so even if I can just edit it to change that , would be cool. I can’t seem to find the option . Thanks!
Looking good! If you keep weaving those lower branches through the net it helps keep them manageable. How you have the top bent over is a good plan. If you haven’t looked up supercropping yet, take a look, it’s also very helpful even with the thicker stems
I had to supercrop my other taller plant already so I’ve got a little experience with it. Not sure I did it completely correct but the bend I did healed nicely and she turned back around so if I have to do it to this one, I will. Would really rather avoid it though.
If I just transferred the shorter plant from a 1.5gal pot to a 3gal pot(filled with ocean forest) do I need to give her flower/bloom nutrients or will the fresh soil cover me for at least a few weeks? I’m assuming I could test the run off next watering and see what the soil gives for ppm to figure out how much is in there?
Feb 5 - Day 65 - New main girl looking healthy and happy in her solo home. Transferred her Sunday, just watered her for the first time tonight, four days later. Gave her 45 oz of 6.45ph ro water with .75g of recharge. Figuring the fresh soil will fuel her for the time being.
I did a light defoliation of the bottom leaves and two bud sites that were going to obviously struggle to ever find light. I redid my net so the top cola is bent ever further over and I also used some tie downs to spread her bud sites out a bit and open some light/air flow through the middle.
Smell update: my fingers absolutely reek like sweet gas from touching any part of her and she has no flower yet. My townhouse is doomed when the buds actually form hahaha can’t wait
