I’m experiencing low Humidity as well. It may seem weird that my basement grow experiences high temps in the winter and low temps in the summer. I have hydrostatic heating and the boiler is ~10’ away from my tents. One generality amongst growers is that we all learn to grow in our own styles.
I started in FF soils and then went off in my own direction. I like the idea of organic fertilization and feeding by promotion of a healthy biota in the soil to process the organics.. There are a number of ways to apply nitrogen to a plant, but the simple truth is that plants can only uptake ammonium and nitrate ions. Microbial activity breaks down organic matter to provide those ion, and many other nutrients. I recycle about 10% of the soil each grow and mix with 30% Minnesota topsoil, 10% composted manure, and 50% bagged organic soil of a higher quality. I mix soil in a large tote in my grow room. Any soil left over from a grow is deposited in an outdoor flower bed, to be used as filler soil for mixing at a future date.
I hated mixing the feed water with 10 different bottles of the most recent miracle feed and simply mix FF Happy Frog All-Purpose for Veg and FF Happy Frog Fruit and Bloom for flower. I mix the All-Purpose when I pot and top-dress at flower with a mix of soil and Fruit and Bloom. That is the bulk of my feeding, twice a grow. I supplement as necessary with Cal-Mag and Silicon, plus weekly microbial inoculation.

Your indoor setup looks so clean and vibrant! You’ve got yourself a cute helper there as well.
Humidity in my tents been pretty easy to maintain with the humidifier because its small but we’ve had so many cold nights that my temps struggle to maintain 73 with lights on. Quickly learning you can only really do what you can and not stress too much. Minnesota winters are just not fun
I’d love to start experimenting with different soils and mixes, making a few different blends, and testing them next to each other. I’m really just starting to get into gardening all together so I have tons to learn and try. It feels like I’m getting into it late at 30 years old but I know I have tons of time to catch up and some awesome mentors to lean on. If/when I get my house this year, I’ll be going crazy trying all kinds of stuff
Vikes looking solid at the half, just gotta finish off the second strong! SKOL

Spurs warming up. They lost but it was good game. I wore my boots and took on 2 flasks of whiskey to mix in my cokes!
Totally off topic y’all on Football

I’m def Dallas Cowboys fan but phuk Jerry Jones.im also not the biggest Dak fan
I loved Aikman and Romo, but I’m not really sure, he’s mediocre at best.
If Jerry would drink some Durban POISON and rest eternally I’d be fine.

Hey hey! Quick update on my girl, really trying to keep it cool and not panic about every little thing but I am starting to see this weird yellowing/graying/corroded in some of her lower leaves over the last 48hrs. I watered her 75oz on Monday night and measured the runoffs ec and it came out 4.2ms which I know is insanely high but it must just be from the ocean forest soil cause I’ve barely given her any nutes. Maybe 2ml of calmag and I gave her 1ml of grow big like three weeks ago so it can’t be from that. Any ideas or am I find? Maybe it’s a part of the pre flower stage? I’m really not sure. Thanks in advance for any and all advice friends!

And I tried to wipe it off and it’s not powder so it’s not mildew I don’t think. Those lower leaves have been kinda yellow for the last few weeks but after Mondays watering, it seems to have spread or gotten worse. Whatever “it” is

I think it must be a magnesium deficiency of some sort, that’s the closet thing I can find. Debating giving her 4-5ml of calmag on her next feeding to see if it helps but scared I’m just gonna add more problems

posted my last comment at the same time you uploaded that link
guessing that’s gotta be the magnesium then. I’ll have to just let her suffer for another two days before I can water her again but at least I hopefully know the issue. Gonna give her 4ml of calmag on Friday when I water her next. Thanks for the super fast reply!

Just do not expect it to make those leaves healthy again
I thought that you may want to visit a few more Minnesnowtans

This is a pretty good informational site for growers

Also, it would be a good idea to check the pH, you should be aiming for 6.0 to 7.0 for optimal Mg absorption.
Another good contact is @Lostgirl , just be cautious of Agnes

That website is awesome, gonna save that one.
Heard you on the yellow leaves staying yellow. If I understand it right, she’s using her stored mag in those older leaves to fuel the pre flowering so hopefully correcting it before any flowering starts will mean it doesn’t affect the quality too much.
I should have given her more calmag from the get go but I’ve read so much about nute burn and just letting the soil do the work that I was cautious to use too much of anything. Learning lots on this first grow already
Shout out to the MN friends. Cool to see lots of minnesota growers on here

Thanks for the tag Randy
@MNQuincy, likewise, nice to meet a fellow Minnesoootan. The sweet leaf is looking choice Growmie! Like @PogueMahone suggested, check that Ph both in and out. Runoff is your nutrient lockout or deficiency tattletale.
Stay elevated
@PogueMahone thank you for the tag and kind words.
@MNQuincy I didn’t read everything I just kind of scrolled up after I was tagged and looked at the pictures and it looks like you’ve got something going on that you’re concerned about on the leafs. From your pictures this is a classic magnesium deficiency it’s in its early stage so you can catch it now by simply giving it 1/4 tsp of magnesium via nonscented Epsom salt with autoflowers I always give them two shots per grow to keep from deficiencies coming about.
The first shot is in the third week of veg.
The second shot is in the fourth week of flower .
And you’ll never go through this again with magnesium. Keep in mind a quarter teaspoon per gallon is going to rise your ppms of your feed by approximately 250 PPM {so mix accordingly}>
This image below is your leaf from above picture that you posted of your concerned girl. It’s clearly the early stage of magnesium deficiency
It doesn’t take long ignoring it for the entire plant to turn this way. below is a picture of another magnesium deficiency that went two weeks untreated. As you can see it gets bad until the whole plant turns yellow.
1/4 teaspoon of magnesium via Epsom salt should do the trick.

I also just read up a little further and noticed that your last feeds run off was 4.2 EC or 2100 PPM
Keep in mind this is totally high and you need to get that run off down to 1,000 ppms. High nutrient levels create imbalance that can cause an actual magnesium issue. I would truly concentrate on getting your ppms down to 1000.
I suggest using just water on your next feed with a quarter teaspoon of magnesium and pH to 6.5. after that I suggest that you do a just water only on the feed following it. This will run your ppms down to a more normal stabilized zone.

@SeaOhAreWhy Ope hey there friend! Hope you’re having a good week! I’m quickly finding out I got lots to learn about EC readings and PPM management
@Lostgirl thanks for stopping by and for that solid advice. Wrote it down in my notebook for the next grow and already ordered unscented epsom. I just got my EC meter last week so this last watering on Tuesday was the first time I’ve been able to measure that but I’ve been measuring PH all the way through the grow and using RO water from kwik trip the whole time. I double check the PH of every jug before giving it to her as well just to be sure and I measure ph after giving any nutes and always been 6.5-6.8. So I’m really confused how my PPM is so crazy because I’ve fed nutes three times so far(if calmag counts). heres the breakdown if it clears it up
First feeding was Dec 26, i gave her 1.8ml of FF Grow big with water, then jan 3 i gave her 1.5ml of calmag . and then this tuesday the 6th i gave her a larger feeding, 1.5ml calmag, 2.5ml of tiger bloom and 1.5 of grow big with 80 oz of water. I know that might have been a lot but i measured the ec before i gave it to her and it was only like 520 es and the ph was 6.7. Is it possible the FFOF is just crazy hot and the large watering caused the high reading? up to this point I hadnt really had much runoff but after tuesdays watering my pot was pouring water out the bottom with runoff. I just want to understand for the future what caused the crazy EC reading

Two quick questions.
1.) how old are these girls?
2.) what size pot are you in? ie, 3 gal 5 gal ect.
