First Grow, thoughts? Update: Harvested

When I started growing in hydro help was scarce I grew them similar to tomatoes. Then about 4 years ago I stumbled across ILGM but did not create a account just read help topics and posts. I created a account when legalization passed. I stuck to the no smell and no tell. I fumbled my way through untill I found what worked for me.

She is still growing taller. Lots of leaves are goofy looking and whatnot but no new deficiencies or burning. Oddly not all leaves were affected even on the same branches not sure why that is. Ive also considered removing the tacoing leaves since they arent dying but not bouncing back. Though that might just cause more stress.

I know i should wait till recovered before flipping but if she keeps growing taller im not sure i have the room for the flowering stretch. Especially if she doubles in height.

Update photos. She looks sad but newer growth is happening and like I said getting much taller. Should I remove all the deformed fan leaves?

Sorry to keep tagging you guys @OGIncognito @John7
Could I prune the weird leaves and flip this girl this weekend or keep vegging till everything is pristine? I’m worried about height limits in this small tent.

Flip the light and let her grow :muscle::muscle::love_you_gesture:

woot, ok that is what I will do  figured the new growth leaves looking normal is saying she is rebounding. Not sure what’s up with the old leaves but not going to fuss about them as they will get pruned eventually anyhow.

She looks awesome!

She’s in happy frog soil with fox farm trio nutes and cal mag. I don’t really grow in soil anymore but a friend gave me the seedlings. I also cloned 1 off of it and it’s doing pretty good for my first clone attempt

Looks like she is starting to grow calyx but no pistols coming from them yet. Noticed it some places when pruning so seems she is ready to flip. I want to better defoliate before that though so going to do a little at a time until the weekend. She is also drinking a lot again which I’m happy about. Some of the smaller branches are a but rubbery and not stiff so might cut those off before the flip.

Got bored and did the defoliation all in one go. Was a bit aggressive but there were a lot of bad leaves. I wonder if I could take a clone and leave it in low light for a long veg but doubt you can do that for the length of a flower period and the clone not get huge.

So I’ve been looking into Jacks 3-2-1 because I think I’m going to switch to it once my GH stuff runs out and I’m a little confused.

So I only need Jacks Part A & B + Epson salt?
3g Part A
2g Part B
1g Epson Salt

I know it’s not exactly 321 but 3.xxg etc per gallon but is that all I need? I see some mention of MPK but is all that actually needed? I’m also seeing Hydroponic and water soluble versions.
I did find this combo, but was considering buying 25lbs bags as it would last me for a very long time:

Darn these edit limits. Just noticed there is even RO version. Which I assume I’d use or does any of that matter?

This girl is going to get flipped Saturday! She has rebounded and looking good and using healthy amounts of water. Doing a res change tonight in prep for the transition so she is on fresh stuff day 1.

As for Jack’s 321:
Figured it would be easier to just ask Jack’s. They got back to me less than 12 hours later. “Our Part A+B Fast Track schedule would be a great fit and keeps everything very simple.” I told them I was using the Lucas Formal with GH and was looking to keep things simple but use their products. So I think I will go this route, maybe add the 1g Epsom though. I’ll be ordering 25lb bags because it’s more economical than the 4.4lb packs. Something like 140 bucks for the combo shipped.

Also fun news, I got my new seeds.

The smaller 2.2 pound bags will last you many grows Growmie. Several growers here including myself have switched to a 4/2 schedule omitting the Epsom……there’s a nice magnesium source in part A :love_you_gesture:

Good to know  makes the switch even easier. I’ll try with the smaller packs then go from there. Since after this girl is done I’ll be moving to a RDWC setup for 4 buckets.

Yeah haha, I need something to slow my brain down. Though have found myself liking some hybrids and I can do sativas if its a very small hit.

Now that she is flipped to flower do these numbers look ok?

I think she is getting some light/heat burn so moved the light up a few more inches.

Numbers look good , you can bump those up a little each week. I’m usually around 800 in weeks 6-8 then I back that down to around 700 the last few weeks. Sometimes run the intensity lower if there signs of foxtailing :love_you_gesture:

Thanks

I’m not sure if I’m doing the trellis right or not. Finding it more intimidating than LST. I guess just adjust the nodes again when more pop through to spread them out? I also have a second net but it ended up being 6" holes not 3.9" like thew one installed atm.

Feels almost like the plant needs stripped then this done but nervous about doing that. Could I just let her rock on without it this time then on the next runs do it?
