Tent has been delivered. Time to clear out that room and get it setup. I hope its as easy to setup as my current 5x5. The size is intimidating at first but super easy to do solo in about 20 minutes. I almost went with a 4x4 but that extra foot really is worth it for working room alone.
I did notice the tent get hotter with the new dwc tub in there. Must be since more volume is taken up in the tent or something. It is like have 3.5x 5gal buckets in there.
@OGIncognito when you refill your res do you drain and flush then refill with your normal mix or wait till its low, test ppm and then add till you hit whatever you are looking for? Im terrible with math and being new to jacks not sure what is the best route. With GH i would wait till near empty and pour ro in while pumping out then mix up a full strength batch and replace.
My reservoirs are usually almost empty and I mix 2 gallons at a time and PH and fill my reservoirs with about 8 gallons a week. I don’t dump and clean during the grow 
Man, didnt think jacks would swing so much in pH. Didnt check it until 5 gals down and its at 6.6 pH. Might have to buy more pH down as it seems like it takes a lot to drop even as little as 6.4 in the res. Ppm raised ro over 1k. I liked GH because you basically set and forgot but new learning curves arent that bad.
I think I’m going to remove the net. I have to move her anyhow to a new room and tent this weekend so figured I might as well. Then I can actually move the branches around to remove inner leaves. Next grow I won’t use it or at minimum install it much earlier as the colas would be much longer instead of bent.
morning Serf… I have a pair of 10 inch curved scissors I use to reach inside when you cannot rotate or get around them…that and my long arms make it work for me…
Bought some nitrile gloves so i can dig in there. I think some of my issue was getting resin all over my hands so I wouldn’t dive in to the center. Also got some new snips that i think will help. I wonder how much i can defoiliate at this point since its week 4 or 5 of flower but she really needs it for airflow.
I like to keep air flow so I just today did a trim up … leave enough for her to grow but not lay on each other…
Im thinking about not pH adjusting my jacks mixes now. If i let it go in at 5.4 to 5.6 and it is going to raise to over 6.5 anyhow in a day or two and need lowering. Any downside to that?
Yeah, leaves are stacked and crammed in on each other pretty bad. I didnt preflower defoiliate which i wont not do again haha. Thats also why i think ill remove the net as its like midway into colas and moving everything around cant be that great on the buds.
if you remove the net what will support your cola…
The branches are quite sturdy but i dont know how much is actually being supported with how late I added it. Are they actually going to get much bigger than they are now? I dont think they will get any taller just maybe a little fatter?
I guess after a good trim i could put the net back on.
New 5x5 is setup in the new room. Didnt realize how small a room it was until then. It can fit 2 of these tents with maybe 3 or 4 feet from opposite wall for walking room. Heat is going to be a big issue until a hole is drilled to vent into the attic so im going to wait to move anything until that is all ready to go. I will say this aci tent is rather nice and i really like their hole layout vs other tents. Light leak guards are nice too but cant say its thicker than cheapo tents even though they make that claim. Stitching is nicer than most. However, i cant say its worth the $200 sale price.
Net is off, I trimmed a bunch but even then not nearly enough. No branches drooped when the netting came off but buds were growing around it like when you leave a string on a tree as it grows. That was fun taking off. If the net was about a foot below the colas then it would have been just fine. Some of these suckers are thick af but would have been forearm length had I defoliated better and used the net sooner. Lots of larf in the interior 
Play the drift Grow Bro and that plan will work. I used to go in the 1st gallons that filled their trays at 5.9-6.0 and filled the res with 5.6 knowing the drift will be in range before they’ve consumed the the initial fill
Good deal. Doing a res change right now. I wish there was a way to know what was depleted and what wasn’t. Since the last ppm reading was 1000 from 850 going in can you just keep adding plain water until you get to target or is it better to change out?
Just dilute it down with water and adjust the PH Grow Bro
morning Serf… in my grows the stretch typically stops around 5 weeks after lights go to 12/12…everybody does their nutrient replenishment differently … sometimes I just add RO water if the value is above 800ppm and I am getting close to change outs which is every 7 days for me…other times I add the nutrient value I started the week with to the tote to get me to change out…I don’t like to give more nutrients than I see her taking in…
