First Ever Grow - Indoor | Grow Tent | LED | Auto White Widow

Just got a little burning going on. Just means your ppm is about as high as your plant wants. Some people will back off of the nutrients whenever they see this. But I like the burnt tips, your just pushing the plant to its maximum potential. However, if the burning continues up the leaf then I would dial back a little bit.

Remind me what medium you’re using??

Buds looking good ! I usually end up with tips showing a little burn . A good way of knowing you’re feeding enough. @imSICKkid Has got you covered .

I have tips burns as well, on my AK, but it’s due to light intensity, she is light sensitive, however still push her, because it not really affecting her growth.
I agree with Sickkid, you knew what it was, she is your baby. She is looking amazing!

@imSICKkid Roger that - I mean that makes sense because I elected for an interesting watering schedule w/ nutrients.

@scylents Super soil from aPotforPot.

@zee Yeah makes sense, I was watching for spreading after the latest feeding but nothing yet so fingers crossed.

FYI for anyone that wants to know how I’m feeding her (because it’s a crap shoot):

Soil - Super Soil from @aPotforPot

Nutrients - Fox Farms Trio (Tiger Bloom, Big Bloom, Grow Big)

Schedule - Going by pot weight, and by top soil dryness. When it becomes light (every 2-3 days) I’m feeding it a half gallon.

Mix - That half gallon always has nutes in it, I’ve never actually given it JUST clean water, as I wanted to maximise growth for the space.

So basically I probably have a really high PPM or salt build up in the soil, but I’m going to flush it two weeks straight before harvest to clean it out.

PH range of feed going in is 6.3, run off at like 5.8-6ph

RH is 45%

I don’t have the nutes experience as others. However in my diligence, picked up a thing or two, if you’re feeding her every 2 to 3 days, I would flush with 1 and 1/2 gallons of pH water on your next watering, then go back to feeding…you maybe pushing her to much…she is drinking a lot, again just my thoughts.

Yea I can’t argue with the above… you know I’m a noob. But in that soil those nutes seem like a lot.

Truth on the lights too… :flushed:

But more importantly you’re buds look really nice man!! Don’t sweat it too much!!

@scylents Haha yeah I’ve had a few people say that I didn’t need nutes in the super soil, but I read a few articles that said if you lightened the dosage going into the soil, it can benefit greatly.

My assumption is basically what you guys said, and that I’m just pushing the plant to it’s limit. I’ll do a flush here shortly and see what’s up.

Day 57 today. Week 4 of flowering.

Day 59, Day 31 of Flower.

I think I corrected the burning tips issue - was probabaly a nute lockout since I’ve been feeding them heavy nutes in already hot soil. Flushed her out with a gallon of fresh water and she sprung back into it overnight.

Massive swelling of buds in the last two days, and still have 3 weeks left to harvest. Getting some nice frost growing on the leaves too, which I’m sure is a good thing

Temp: 75-82F
RH: 40-50%
Light: 18/6

Question: Should I defoliate some of these medium fan leaves, or wait until I flush before harvest?

Great decision on the flush . She looks amazing, well done, home stretch for you. Exciting stuff.

You could prune a few, but it looks like you are getting good light penetration. So I believe you would be good either way.

Hey land for curing??

Not sure what you mean about the curing. Was it a mistype?

But thank you!

@GST93 well I’m glad you fixed your burnt tip problems

@GST93 I like your plant :seedling: your doing pretty good the Autoflower was going to try them out you think they are worth it?

Very good, but loaded question. I don’t think there’s a worth it vs not worth it with these plants, it’s just dependent on a few factors you need to take into account.

Auto’s are:

  • Smaller
  • Faster Growing
  • Flower on their own
  • Very easy to grow

If you’re looking for something about 3-4ft high, 3-4oz yield (depending on lights & care), and relatively low maintenance, I would say go for it!

I guess my new venture could be into Photo’s, but I’ve liked the Auto grow process so far
