Bagged them up and took them to a friends to finish up. Hopefully they’ll produce a heckuva lot of seeds for me.
Getting taller all the time.
I love the signs of life its very relaxing,
I had to dig up and flip all 3 of them over after planting. Each time I follow that chart floating about in here that shows pointy end of the seed with tails ‘up’ in the hole I get seedlings acting dumb. I’m going tails down from here on out. I actually had the first one up come up tap root… wtf??
This image is giving me fits lol
That’s why I germinate in peat cubes. Once germinated, split the cube open, plant it in the dirt oriented the way it should be. You get a nice straight tail in the cube.
Im interested in the peat cubes sir newt more please
@Newt When you plant your winnings how’s about a visual for the Class?? I bought the cubes you use but I haven’t implemented them as of yet.
I use these:
Dip the cube in distilled water if it isn’t already moist, gently squeeze any excess. Seed into hole, and under the humidity dome and T5 (18/6), dome sitting on a heat mat, with a sensor and set for 75 degrees F. Wait (make sure cube stays moist). Seed germinates. Break open cube and plant.
@Newt Any particular direction with the seed in the cube precrack (pretail)? Do you leave the cube with the seedlings when you up pot or do you crack them open and separate?
I don’t pay attention to how they go in - I’m sorting that out once it’s up, then I crack the cube open, and plant the seedling in dirt.
@Newt Gotcha so the pods are temporary homes until your ready for their first container.
