@kw_Bat yea it was a lot to learn mostly how the organics work and how and what each organic matter breaks down into a certain nutrients and what not but I did a ton of research cause it kinda interested me and how it all works. Yes I start with a base of like either plain organic potting soil that has peat moss or organic basic top soil really I do together then add a whole bag of perlite then a third of it all with have worm castings then I add a certain amount of garden lime so the ph is more so in range because especially peat moss breaks down acidic and can cause low pH if you don’t reapply here and there. Sometimes I’ll read the runoff. The lime will also breakdown and provide calcium and magnesium. It’s calcium carbonate. The I add the domitrioues earth or however u spell to provide silica. I add some alfalfa meal to provide a growth hormone and nitrogen tiny phosphorus and micro nutes. I add the dr earth tomato and whatever during veg stage cause it’s higher in nitrogen. And the dr earth flower girl or the gaia green isn’t applied until flower because it’s higher in phosphorus and potassium and lower nitrogen. Once I make my initial super soil blend from the beginning I usually don’t have to do much until about flower other than check pH of runoff here and there or if I start seeing a issue then I’ll maybe add or give calmag or some epsom salt but usually I’m good and once I start flower, during the stretch I add a little alfalfa meal for a little nitrogen and micros and I top dress with the flowering dry amendments and I may add once or twice more throughout and I’ll have added more worm castings too and some garden lime
Dude, i gotta commend ya for writing that up. It would of took me a week.. ha It is very clear.. Thank-you
I made up some dirt right off the forest floor. I mixed it with my FF soil. It was last runs used soil. I figured i am feeding the anyway. If they get out of balance i should know it.
Here they are.
Goodmorning friend. I stopped by to check on ya. Hope all is well with the ladies.!
These look like little trees.
@kw_Bat hey what’s up man. I’m getting ready for work lol. Yours are looking pretty nice man!. Dude this gorilla cookies just won’t stop stretching! I never dealt with that before. I’ve raised the light 3 times and they grew into them again. They’re wilting a little because lights are about to go out soon
I agee with you on the gorilla cookie and her stretch. She doesn’t look like a gorilla cookie.
Comparing her response to the light to that fat budded plant behind her, i would guess that your gorilla cookies is either a pheno type that popped out of the strain. Or a totally different seed all together. I say this because she don’t really look like a gorilla cookie to me. Looks more like a pure landrace strain to me. Just my opinion. Use caution, you know what they say about opinions, everyone has one they just all smell different. Have a good day at work.
I did research online and stuff and apparently the gorilla cookies is known to stretch a lot more than other strains. The whole reason I looked into it was cause of the stretching it was doing. The seed bank they came come is a well regarded place so I dunno @kw_Bat
That is interesting. That stretch seems like alot.
She will be interesting to watch for sure..
Yes it will. Crazy thing is it isn’t just a stretched plant, there bud sites everywhere and fairly close the one another. Normally when I see a stretched plant the bud sites are far apart but this one has bud sites all over the place. It says it’s a heavy yielder. @kw_Bat I think it said it’s 55% sativa which is weird cause both parents are what I thought indica dominant but genetics is a complex thing
Those phenos can pop out like that. My guess is the dominate genetics won the race. My experience on these have been longer flower times and goood weed to smoke. Sometimes it is a find i tell ya.
Many things can cause the plants to act weird. Including light and PH.
I have grown clones of the same plant and they come out looking different. All due to what i was doing to their environment. By the naked eye you would of sworn it was a different strain altogether.
I have thrown the PH off and cause the plant to grow different. Not saying you have any ph problems or any problems at all. Where my thoughts are coming from. @appleyardjr267
Hey just read through the journal real quick. That plants a monster. Wow. Crazy when they grow way bigger then we expect. There is a guy on here to admitted to cutting a hole in his tent because the plant just would stop growing
. Anyways I just like to make people feel welcome. Hope you’re having a good day.
Dang, no way.
Yeah @appleyardjr267 aint no joke on the grow.
@kw_Bat I think it was danb who did that I laughed so hard when I read it. Not laughing at him but sharing in the moment ya know. Their journal is called Danb’s purple kush auto. I guess he thought the seed was an auto and he vegged it too long. So when he flipped it. Just exploded
I bet. I like a guy like that. Dont play by the rules of life. Im that way.
Here is one for ya.
My current Clone, veg, re-veg tent.
Looking like a full house. I can seem em all sitting around a table playing cards
@NewGrower31
Now dont get me to a showin off my kids we might be all day. Ill tag ya where i have them documented.
Up front. I am half crazy, i apologize up front and ask for forgiveness if i offend you.
@NewGrower31 hey what’s up? Yea this one just won’t stop growing lol everyday I wake up it’s even taller. It’s grown into the light again so this evening I’m gonna have to make all new adjustments. I’m not complaining though lol it looks beautiful
Yea everythings been on point with her so far. She’s healthy as all get out. I’m cool with her stretching cause it’ll just be more bud for me lol. I’ll send a closer pic. It’s a good kind of stretch not the not enough light kind lol you’re using bottle nutes right?
Yeah having your plant be too big is a problem I’ll take haha. Nothing going on right now just sitting here at the house. Might fire up the Xbox. I was just stopping by to say hey. What about you whatcha getting into?
That should me journal if ya wanna check it out. I should be harvesting my first plant. Well it’s my second attempt but first time getting a plant to harvest. But yeah harvest should be no later than end of February.
Journal is kinda long. First plants got aphids and I culled them before we moved.
Nice, I’ll check it out. Even if the cotyledons got damaged it would still grow fine. Main thing is over watering. When they’re still small I give water around the pot like a few inches away from the stem. That way you avoid over watering and the roots search for the water. And you want wet dry cycles. I never worry about the humidity even when they’re small. Some people do though. Well I do when in mid flower @NewGrower31
