I don’t smoke anymore now so I depend on my ol lady and kids to tell me what’s what sometimes I think they lie to me about it but they do point out one here and there that they don’t like

@MeEasy Family and friends always compliment my grows - probably so I continue and they get free weed! But they are honest as in never grow Bordello again. Everyone had creepy dreams/nightmares after trying it.

Hey @spacey my experience with autos i had too many loose weird flowers, cant even call them buds that i swore off autos, i have had some strains that produced nice solid nuggets, but others ha ha… As you know the 10% Rudealis that makes the auto gene possible is in the gene pool and i just found a picture of a 100% Siberian Rudealis
As you can see these are not good looking bud structure long loose flowers. A seed can have traits from any number of parent plants. I personally have turned to mostly indica strains, best dense buds. But i believe it is a genetic man. Im trying one last auto next grow, hope it works out, will see. Anyway happy growing man.

I had 4 Green Crack autos last summer grown outside that turned out just fine, except the buds were not really colas, more like individual 2-3 inch buds. Will probably not try it again though.

Heck no, smoke it. I had a lot of larfly on my afghan kush, I just smoke it as the good stuff cures.

Yup Id lean genetics. Adding ruderalis (auto gene) comes with widening the gene pool. And sometimes you just get runty or airey plants. Im happy u got to grow some photos beside it.
I stopped growing autos because they are too finicky and I appreciate keeping keepers.

I can handle 2 great ones, and one good one. One good reason also to have 4 plants instead of two for my 4’x4’. The two photos are getting super dense this week.

See i still dont get that. How you can put 4 plants in a 4x4. If lights are good why so many. You put a plant outside its gonna be 8x8 all by itself. So why so small inside?

Is it just easier? Being lazy? Idk.
Takes a lot less time to grow 4 smaller plants than to wait for a single plant to fill the space especially when you end up with close to the same results

Also, a good reason to have more plants is even at halfway through flowering stage, you can have bad genetics in a plant it didn’t show before, which is what happened in that grow. One plant was literally only good for shake.

So do you belive we are down grading our genetics by femelizing and autos? If you get better smoke from reg seeds.

Definitely with autos, each strain is crossed with one genetic trait to prevent them from responding to light cycles so there are more weaknesses in the result.

I like my photos. There more foregiving espesially outside. Maybe ill try some indoor stuff one day. But not today! Be fertile my brother.

So when your growing this auto you still feeding it nitrogen through flowering? With photos thats a no no. Thats how you get fluffy buds.
Keep in mind ive never grown an auto. Im going to grow a few this year. If the qaulity isnt there it will be the last autos i grow. No need for me to grow anything that doesnt have potential to be killer. Seems like a waste of time and money.
I use Jack’s 3-2-1 beginning to end.

I’ve it done it twice. I’m sure mine would have been better if they weren’t on a photo light cycle and could’ve gotten double the light in their second half of life. It was a mistake when germinating, and I did it again with my current grow.
