Marked x on the larger fan leaves that should have been removed and crude half circles on the leaves that should stay but trimmed where the line cuts across them. The stem below should be naked. This reduces water loss until roots are established (2-3 weeks) and keeps them from being too top heavy and drooping over. You did fine. Pretty much what I tried to describe. Trying to get a lot of information into a short conversation.

Afternoon everyone, Critical is now almost 10wks, while the OG Kush is supposed to be 8wks. Unfortunately i believe the OG Kush is really stuck in the growth department so i can only hope that it can hold on until the big aero is freed up. Haven’t really touched anything much until today. After the last post i followed my dads advice on the clones and did a little trim. After 2wks only 2 clones are showing roots that ive seen so thats okay (keeps me within the plant limit). I did a big trim on critical this morning since the white fluffs of flower are more apparent now, set the branches a bit better for maximum light on the bud spots. About to add water to the system with feed (8ml florabloom, 1/8C. Peroxide, 1ml cal mag). Thats all i got for today, bye!

Good job! :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Should see some more roots soon I’ve had some take 3 weeks

The yellowing on the leaves of the clones shows they are alive and consuming nutrients from the leaves, they should all be okay from what I can see

The little one in the yellow collar is ogk? Are you saying that is 8 weeks or is that a clone? The age of the critical is no longer relevant. With photo periods you should begin a new count. It’s typical to begin counting week one of flowering about two weeks after pistils begin forming. Critical looks (great btw) like it is somewhere between weeks one and two of the transition from veg to flowering. If unsure you can just start counting now since it’s pretty close. You should expect about 8-10 weeks of flowering and ripening between now and harvest time. That brings me back to my first question about the ogk. If that’s 8 weeks I’d probably just focus on the crit and her clones.

Yeah OGK is supposed to be 8 weeks but im gonna see if it does anything soon. All 4 clones seem to have roots when i checked this morning so ill have to figure out where 2 to 3 are going

Just a mini update today, we’re looking good. 3/4 clones are getting shipped off soon.

Oh boy, i had hoped to have a really stellar bud post, but after coming back from a weekend trip Critical has gone from bad to worse and no idea whats wrong. I thought potassium and nitrogen deficiency so i rebalanced the feed around last Wednesday. Ph and ppm looked really good, didnt wanna overfeed so i siphoned some of the water out. When i fed i used 2tbsp peroxide, 4ml Florabloom (GH), 2ml floragrow, and 2ml calmag.

Update, i found eggs…

What numbers do you have?
Temperatures?

Can’t see clear enough for the eggs we need to figure out what kind of eggs

I would double the calmag you are using per gallon

What’s the EC/PPMs and PH of the feed mix Growmie :love_you_gesture:

4.8ph(fixing that), 70 degrees, ppm 1112
Looks like spider eggs with the webbing, they get in all the time. Im gonna hit it with diluted peroxide for a few days to clear that up

FloraGrow 4.0ph, ppm so high it says error lol

Florabloom also 4.0

Calmag 3.0

Ph and ppm of the feed after mixing hon. I see you have that in the post above. Ph and ppm measured straight from the bottle won’t help and could add confusion for others reading that. Your ph should be 6.0 and ppm around 1000. Get the pH up to stop the lockouts. Go ahead and remove the yellows, they don’t come back to green.

Took out the yellows yesterday, hit it with peroxide. Will check numbers when i get back, but any guesses as to how long it might have? The top is turning purple.

The top could simply be turning purple from deficiency. Photos take 8 to 10 weeks in flower until harvest. I don’t recall what week you’re on. I would instead of just checking numbers go ahead and dump the reservoir refill and then add and adjust. Mix the nutes, check ppm, dilute to get down to about 1000 (if needed) then ph to 6.0

My recommendation of 6.0 is in range but not quite right. Here’s a good easy to read pH chart that illustrates very well how nutrient uptake is impacted when the pH is too far out of range

5.8 is the “sweet spot “
Notice how almost every nutrient is locked out at 4.8
The plant was pulling all its stored nutrients from its leaves to stay alive. The adjustments you made will get it back on track for a good finish, just stay on top of that pH like we discussed.

Morning everyone, im happy to say Critical is doing great! Shes very very hungry this week and i was finally able to take a look at the trichromes this morning and im ecstatic to say its 50/50 cloudy so far (triple checked the whole plant) and i may only have 1-2wks til harvest hopefully

Good morning! You’re probably not going to be able to get pictures with it but you really need to use the small, higher magnification lens to really see the trichomes properly. They are a bit tricky because they are highly reflective spheres and because of that they reflect the white toned light back at you from all angles and will appear cloudy when in fact are clear. Keeping that in mind, check carefully all over and wait until pretty much all are milky in appearance and usually the stalk will have bent down on the trichome when they mature. There will usually be some amber colored trichomes by then too. Too many of those means you’ve waited too long past the optimal harvest window for most people’s tastes. Hope that helps. Also, glad you got the plant back in shape. You are almost at the finish line, great job!

As soon as i got the plant a bit better that magnifier you gave me revealed spider mites. Reading up on forum posts to eradicate them. Diluted peroxide doesnt seem to be doing the trick but theyve infested the bud. Im not sure if theres a correlation between them and the few orange trichromes on the plant but speaking of trichromes they’re still clear.

I’m sorry to hear that.
