Does this need pruning?

this is a continuation of my first recent grow. Looking for advice on pruning. This has been a very compact and fast growing plant. I learned a lot on my first plant thanks to this forum.

plant sprouted 22Sep2021 6-7weeks in the pic

the large leaves are very close together and in the morning there are sometimes leaves with visible moisture on them. I have pruned the underside to some extent but I was wondering if the large leaves should be thinned out a little.

Also wondering when to switch to flower schedule. It is 10-11 inches and I have at least 2-1/2’ above the plant.

Thanks
JimC

You would probably benefit from removing a few of the big fan leaves. Especially anything blocking light to the lower buds you want to develop.
Don’t go totally nuts, but a thoughtful pruning of bigger leave scan help your plant overall.

Agree, you can start taking some of the larger fan leaves to open the plant up a bit.

I think could use a little. Personally right there is where i go in…clean middle out and bottom. Remove all the junk around stem bases and decide her shape. Big wonderfull branches i clean up a LITTLE. Small worthless branches off now. Still in veg so will explode. This is a big gg and smaller clones. 2nd hard trim on the little guy 4 days ago. Already needs another…lol.

Small in 3gal. Big 20gal. Both gg4. Pot really make difference.
All the little girls are open at base.

Yea it is crowded. A little close wirh flip on new girls. Harvest 2 weeks and 3 20gal come out to let little girls breathe.

Nice looking plant yah it needs a hair cut so the light can get in to the middle to help make new bud sites

Thanks for all the advice. I did some trimming hopefully it will do well.
Still wondering if it would be good to start them on the flowering journey now since hight is somewhat limited.
