Does this look like a nutrient deficiency or too much

Growing White Widow, 7 weeks since Flower, no problems until now, last water (rain water always) with Fox Farm Nutes, runoff PH 5.9 PPM 1270, numbers have been great all thru the grow, plant looks great, but seems like I got something going on, any suggestions is greatly appreciated.

Have you been following their flush schedule?

With fox farms nutrients the flush is important. Salt buildup can prevent the plant from nutrient uptake. What medium are you using to grow in?

Fox Farm & Ocean Forest mix

I’ve always run across this issue with OF and FF nutes. Using sledgehammer for flushes helped a bunch but it was just too much for me. I switched and never looked back. Their beastie bloom, cha-ching and open sesame still get some use though as PK boosters.

What type of nutes are you using, this is my 4th grow, just harvested my 3rd grow and had the same problem but just days before harvest, so your thinking nute burn or just salt build up. next water should I flush with the sledge hammer this late in bloom, not sure what to do.

Might as well wait for the final flush. She doesn’t look too far off. Make sure you’re using sledgehammer correctly.

When I first started with sledgehammer I was mislead into thinking that I should pour in the sledgehammer mixture then continue with ph’d water until ppms come down.

It’s actually pour in 2x your normal watering with the sledgehammer mix. Then let it dry out. Then feed as normal. It takes time for the sledgehammer to collect all the build up.

I use roots organic original soil and jacks 321 nutes. You don’t have to look at charts each week because it’s the exact same feed throughout the plant life. I don’t even have to ph because my tap water and the mixture adds to 6.52 ph after mixing. Plus the ph buffers in roots organic work great.

I also use grow dots. It’s something you mix into the soil before planting and you just pour in water on feeding days. They act as a time release nutrient. Only issue I’ve had with them is needing to supplement jacks late in flower because the dots ran out of juice.

Not knowing any better, I bought all the Fox Farm line up and got a lot left, might be a grow or 2 before I can change but I think I will, at least the soil for now. I did understand how to use sledge hammer but never used it. She is getting pretty close, I noticed the buds are still getting fatter. Hope there is no big effect in last few weeks.

No they’ll continue growing. Just expect more yellowing in the coming weeks.

I hope to see the day when big box stores start carrying this in place of or addition too ff stuff. Night and day difference for roughly same price.

I have a Runtz 15 days old and a White Widow 7 days old that I need soil for, where’s a good place to get roots, on line ?

Not gonna put the .com after it but growgreenmi is a pretty good source for all manner of grow related things. You can usually get free shipping.

Aurora Innovations is the company, they have a product locator on their website. I would see if anyone local stocks it.

I like their beastie bloomz. Its the only thing that I use besides cocoloco from fox farms. Question: do you think cha-ching is worth it, even if you already use beastie bloomz? Or rather, in your opinion, is it a overkill to use all three, especially if you don’t use all of their nutes/nute schedules in combination with other nutes?

For an example, I used beastie blooms with technaflora products. I had good results. I didn’t use it this time around because i was in living soil and other things. I digress, but I felt like using all 3 in combination (I know they have overlaps in the feeding schedule I believe) would do more harm than good… how do you feel

I never went by fox farms feeding recommendation for the pk boosters. I just added 1/4 tsp to my jacks solution once a week (light flip, 1/4tsp of open sesame per week….mid flower, 1/4 tsp beastie blooms per week….late flower, 1/4 tsp cha ching per week).

I tried a small flush with 3-1/2 gal of PH water plus 1/4 feed of tiger bloom, bembe & ca ching, 600 ppm, the yellowing slowed so I did it again this morning, run off was 917ppm, 6.12 ph. noticed buds are still plumping up nice, happy with what I did so far. Getting real close.
