So i guess im seeking some clarification on if the rosin presses are like the led lights. Will i be getting a dependable product with the cheaper one or am i better off spending the money the time around? I still have my amazon led’s boxed up 
i saw the nugsmasher or whatever it is and it was more expensive than my scorpion diablo

Above all else. What you get from a press will be determined by what you are pressing. Quality in, quality out.
The press you have will determine more about how difficult the task is then the quality of your final product. I recommend getting a press with a neumatic jack vs a pump jack. The pump jack kind have no pressure gauge to tell you how much pressure you are applying and this can lead to blowouts and plant lipids in the final product.
As for quality of press, I like my dabpress just fine. Not sure there is much difference between the nugsmasher vs a dabpress. Look past presses that only have a single temp controller, you want control of both top and bottom heating elements.

Holy shit! Life update! Went to ER trying to deliver packages, Im Ok. Lost my job. Out of the blue High Grade calls me about a harvest and trimming job. I take it! Start as soon as my background check clears. Life is good.
My son is coming to live with me! I am beyond excited about this. Life is good. Did I say that already?
