Good luck with them!
Gave these two their 1st full watering 2 days ago saturating Soil just to the point of slight run off. Dechlorinated
tap water with 1Tbs molasses/gal ph 6.5.
Yesterday I noticed slight discoloration on the tips of new/young leafs. At the same time I realized I hadn’t adjusted light height to match the extended growth.
So I’m thinking the leaf tips are related to light/heat stress more than nutrient burn?
So I adjusted light height to approx 18” which produces around 750ppfd and 54dli.
This morning the plants look happier in general - leaves not as limp - so I’m hoping my diagnosis is correct and adjustments = improvements
They are definitely looking good.
Keep it up.
No turning back now
Turning back is overrated anyway.
Good morning to you Willum.
Indeed.
My Dos-Si-Do auto had mutated after germination. Was huge bush, 4 zips of very good smoke, 4 major defoilations and still had issues with growth, under carriage cleaned also.
Had Purple Punch also mutated. Did Purple again yhis run, the mutated Purple has been my favorite thus far. This Purple Punch is on point.
Looking forward to the do over on Dos-Si-Do.
Love the genetics
This one is stout & busy as well. Every other day a few more fan leafs and lower fluff removed. I’ve heard good things about the strain.
Ooooo. That smell. The longer it "grove"s the sweeter it smells. Almost 3months 2 zips in a QP grove bag. Oooooooothat. SMELLLllll
Might be my Dos-Si-Do pics.
Now THAT’S exciting…!
My , our RV shower, no bells, no whistles. No tent, good smoke though
Beautiful!
Only a handful of grows behind me and I’ve never had plants - only autos - grow to that size. Good touch on those!
I love the autos, matty bear said less is better for new growers. Selected coco, 100% no mixing. Jacks nutes, we watered as needed, no testing, no runoff. They feel like a loaf of bread in 5 gal pot when thirsty. A gallon of water is about 8 lbs. Lift that loaf of bread with 4lbs extra. At first half gal., more water as the grow progressed, lift and feel is how we watered into our third grow.
Ph ed cheaply, massive spring rains for couple months changed our Ph 3rd grow. Mutated, fixed quickly. New Ph pens, pens.
4th grow, dialed Ph and ppm in feedings. No runoff.
Looking very good, we grew fine doing less is better. We growing fine canna dialing in.
After the quick fix, dialing in the numbers, our plants frosted faster than previous. We are believers in the numbers game.
Man, when I checked in on plants this morning and lifted pots they were both super light - “loaf of bread” light - so I gave them water w/ CalMag. Watered enough to collect some runoff to measure. Shortly after both plants drooped like crazy with no rebound yet. Light goes off soon so maybe they recover with some rest. 1st experience like that. Don’t think it’s overwatering since the pots were so light, but I guess it could be the case
Mine are drooping prior to bedtime and when very thirsty. They talk, be observant to all factors. Mornings, they are ready for lights on standing tall.
We have the large sunflower fields normally commercially grown. 1000s of flowers go to bed facing west as the sun set, amazing how everyone is facing the east for sun rise even in our 90 days of triple digits most years.
Going out to photograph sunflowers this eve
Looking forward to seeing your sunflower pix. Which strains of them do you raise?
No, no. Not mine. A friend who farms in our area grows them in one of his fields each year. He uses the oil for fuel and other purposes. He also raises bees and the flowers help attract. He just pinged me yesterday announcing that they are blooming. It’s great to get lost in the field of yellow & gold - especially at sunrise!
