I always plant straight into the soil now, no water soak or paper towel soak and i get 100% germination every time. Ive never not had one come up since started doing so, can sometimes take a few days longer but it always works
My AI search had me worried that’s why I asked. It kinda said only as a last resort in so many words. Thank you
you saved me once again! Your awesomeness know no bounds!

I was on the phone at the time and didn’t get to check with AI. Glad it agrees there are better alternatives. I’ve even germinated with milk.
When I seen on the jug not for human consumption it made me worry. Thanks again I’m goin with room temp tap.

I’ve done this a couple times. And it worked.
Hell I got a lot of seeds I may do a direct drop. But I’m gonna still start in solos.

Scratch that I forgot to add calmag to the buffing solution. Without that it’s gonna be almost impossible to direct drop in coco. So back to the cup of water with a splash of h2o2 overnight then into damp paper towels
I’m setting up the propagation unit as we speak

Oh yeah i always start in solos aswell or atleast seedling pots. Unless doing autos i just plant straight into final pot ![]()
Got my coco in my solo cups saturated (damn I wish I woulda remembered the calmag)
I’ll just up the dosage just a smidge. And got my propagation unit warming up and my water for the beans is getting warmed to 80 to 82 ish degrees. I won’t add the peroxide till the beans hit the warmed solution @ 7 ph. But only for seed pop. Then back to 5.8 ph. The reason I wet the coco the cups before I get the seeds wet is because I don’t want the coco completely saturated. The day or 2 it takes the seeds to pop and get a half inch or longer tail will be long enough to loose the extra moisture. I don’t use perlite so my coco stays wet longer. Then after planting I shouldn’t have to feed/water again for 5 to 7 days. ![]()

Did you use any dust on them? That will provide your cal and mag along with some sulfur.
I forgot about the dust I’ll do it at transplant.
or mix some in my water. I’m screwing up and ain’t got my beans wet yet!

I may sprinkle a little on top of the substrate before I water. I was gonna sprinkle Mycos on the soil before seed drop. I wonder if it would hurt to do both? I’ve had my Mycos for five years I wonder if it’s still viable?
@kw_Bat My Brother I deeply appreciate all the
’s and I’m glad you’re hangin out!

@Dman1969 Goodmorning brother. Yeah i was a readin in on ya there. I still got a ways to catch up. Over time ive seen some really nice buds coming out of that grow factory you have over there. Frosty. Very nice.
Thanks for saying hello.
Do ya have a busy one in the tent today?
That’s the boat I was in last grow. When I first started I was using canna coco and for the nutrients I was using foop. The first couple grows I had no issues, after that it went completely down hill. I couldn’t keep the ph stable, the medium would be correct one day and then the next day the ph would be 7 the ms would be like I took the nutrients and just threw them into the medium raw dog without mixing it in water. It got to the point it was so saturated I ended up with spring tales and everything else. Then I moved to canna coco A and B and was beyond happy with those results last grow. This grow I have damn near the whole nutrient line just lacking the canna cal-mag. So come the following grow I will have that next ![]()
Dang bro, if i may step in and ask a question.
This cocco medium, what is your opinion at this point? You have grown it a while.
Thanks for your time.
I’m actually in a 9 foot x 18 foot room. I’m fina drop my beans in water and h202 once everything is at proper temp and humidity in the propagation unit. We almost at the sweet spot.
And as far as coco if I change it will be to full hydro. I love coco and canna’s nutrient line. And if I switch to hydro it will be canna nutrients in it as well. Canna is expensive but the results speak for themselves. ![]()

Damn bro, thats as big as my house.
space is king in my book.
I dont have any experience with coco or the canna nuke line. I only grab an outsiders viewpoint listening to the forum.
All i can see is it looks like the coco users are always a fignting with it. Thus why i asked @Auto-photo98 his experience.
I also see the huge size stock they are gettng out of the coco. So i am not saying the fight is not worth it.
But i am wondering others opinions are of it.
I have grown in soil and in coco and I honestly live by coco. Where I am it was just taking way to long for my soil to dry back I could feed one week and then it wouldn’t dry back for about 3 weeks I would try to see if it was still wet but doing the knuckle test and when I did that my fingers were in like a puddle of water. That was my first grow ever.
I then came on here let everyone know my problems and they suggest I moved to canna coco which luckily for me I had already bought a bag of it. After that switch the turn around was unbelievably great. Unfortunately I had a plant already growing in soil again before the coco got there that was the only time I did a soil and coco grow. Mainly the root ball was all soil everything surrounding that was coco. To my surprise she turned out beautiful. Come the following grow after that soil was no longer an option for a medium for me.
Oh no I haven’t had to fight with canna coco or their nutrients line everything been unbelievably great. This is just the first time using the whole nutrient line. So switching phases is where it was throwing me off a little bit and being in a self feeding system I just wanna make sure I keep the plant healthy and wasn’t gonna feed her to strong of a strength. I live by this line now lol
You can use the Dust alongside mychos. You COULD resoak your coco in it or cal mag if you haven’t dropped them yet, give them the best start possible.
