My ashes are always black. It had me wondering but I see that extra resinous weed can have darker ashes.

That’s normal. But I see somebody else already answered that. I’ve had some that are solid. They’re not hollow like that. Maybe that’s that rabbit hole they keep talking about.

I got a few strains, I do have a few skunk 1 seeds going. Definitely don’t know what’s going to happen. I had a few little problems with the seeds. I can’t remember how many I got that popped. I do believe too.

Black ash also has to do with the paper. If the paper was made at the wrong pH it always burns black. So in a bowl, the white ash would be more reliable indicator.

My biggest problem comes with the paper. I can’t smoke RAW brand cause I just choke and cough. Did a lot of research and trials to find a couple brands that I could. The paper pH was an interesting one to learn about.
