The proper name for this is RSO. It’s a different taste because you’re not heating it. Most ppl decarb before. I forgot lol
After it’s done in 30 days you strain it and let the everclear evaporate off. Then you have nothin left but goody! 
The alcohol breaks down the thc.

I’ll take a stab at this, hope it is not too confusing.
When you press nugs with heat under pressure the oils come out. This can be dabbed immediately or let it sit a week or 2 at 60 degrees to cure it. To make high quality dab from alcohol extractions takes a bit longer but you can absolutely make some great wax from everclear extracts. But it is more work than pressing for me.
Everclear extractions are best done using buds that have been frozen and everclear that is in the freezer. Look up qwet for more info. After you freeze both for 24 hours, you will pour the grain alcohol over the buds just til covered. Put back in freezer, shake every 10 minutes then back to freezer for up to 2 hours. I have read some articles that when frozen you will pick up most of the thc in an hour or 2, so not a lot to gain going longer. Some people even do 5 min washes with dry ice to make it even cleaner for the dab they will make All depends what you are after. I then filter the wash with a cheesecloth and then thru one more filter. The freezing temps help break the trichs off and it keeps the alcohol from absorbing too much chlorophyll which makes the end product taste weedy. I use a gram and a half in an 8x8 sheet of brownies with no weed taste. Dman is using spent press pucks so he is going a longer wash to reclaim the thc in the pucks.
If I want to dab I use a press. For edibles I do a freezing alcohol wash and reduce to wax. You can decarb the buds ahead of time or decarb the oil when you are done.
You can then get into the rabbit hole of post processing to make shatter, budder, etc

Gotta up the feed 1/4 strength is not enough goin with normal feed schedule to see if it helps with the yellowing. I’m using 1/2 strength cal mag may step up to full strength and see what happens
No silica this grow I’m gonna see if it helps reduce the sludge in my trays and reservoir.
