@Low how long should i let me resevior water the plants to let it flush? Ive been keeping it at around 1,200-1,300 ppm in the res when i was using nutes

You can flush as long as you want to in order to reach desired run off.

But how would i check runoff on an autopot system?

Oh right auto pots. Well that’s the fun part. When I hear flush I’m thinking running water through the top until you reached desired outcome. I recommend that as well with autopots but if you are netted in there isn’t much you can do. Atleast not in a fun way. The only thing I can think of is taking core samples and slurry testing, but this would need to be done frequently which may cause root damage. Best bet get yourself a soil probe if you can’t flush them traditionally, bottom fed I’d recommend keeping your typical EC around 1.7

Thanks man!

So if i just top fed them and left the res empty and checked the runoff that could work from what im understanding correct?

Exactly where I mix my EC for Autopots. Mine have painted nails on all but two.

Do not water from top after begin Autopots! All the salts flush to the top of soil. Only proper way to flush is to take them out of the Autopots and run enough water through them to dissolve and rinse away salts, otherwise your just washing the salts back down to root zone.

Not quite, you see, when they are bottom fed the salts get pushed up. So you’d have full on commit to the flush until your numbers are slightly lower than where you are going to set your res. If you only top water here and there you are just going to push the salts down a little bit at a time, rather then getting them out. Or if what you’re seeing isn’t so bad let it go a res or 2 on water, but it’s going to be hard to know where the medium stands. You’d just have to watch them.

Haha @Growdoc you are fast

@Low so i checked the plants today and they have powdery white mildew again. I dont really want to spray down with potasium bicarbonate this late but i dont want to defoliate it all then have it spread to the bud. Any suggestions??

3% peroxide… 1 part peroxide 3 parts water. Dim lights all the way down.. spray down with a fine mist sprayer, healthy breeze until dry. Going forward reduce humidity and increase air flow. I would generally say wait until lights out, but probably safer to monitor the “wetness”
