Glad you’re ok! Severe hypo is scary!
Pump plus a cgm is a life changer if insurance will cover it. Some of them connect with each other now and can adjust basal automatically to help prevent lows.
Mate glad to see and hear your alright get ya rest @spudeater65 get better so u can grow those monsters ,my step mother is diabetic she is on tablets for it thou no needles
@spudeater65 Glad you are better now. I too have diabetes and suffer sugar crashes. So far nothing as severe as that. I do like the honey idea and may pick up a few packets next time I’m at a KFC. They keep those around for the biscuits. My killer is pancakes. I will crash hard about three hours after eating them unless I load up on protein soon after. Peanut butter is my friend. Gets me through the night. I used to wake up at 3am in a cold sweat and puking until I figured out how to manage it better.
Take care
Get feeling better. After my 4th passout and hospital stay i retired. Diabetes is no joke at all. Keep that sugar in line my friend.
That night was bad wife took care of me. Low sugar, puking at the same time. It is wednsday i feel much better. Thank you
Scary. Glad you are recovering.
Thank God for caring wives… I have never got that low but too close for comfort… By the way they also make a pure glucose packet used to care one all the time when I scuba dived…
Very scary! Im not diabetic but my pancreas is shot and i have to watch my sugar levels that i eat to keep them balanced. Sometimes I still crash but its pretty rare these days. The lowest I’ve ever seen my sugars was 19. I have no clue how i didnt go unconscious. It does feel like you got hit by a truck after a crash too. Not a good feeling. Glad your wife moved fast!
Happened to my dad when I was a kid. He was eating hog maws and starting convulsing. I put a candy in his mouth and called the ambulance. Once they arrived my dad was awake and functioning. Take care
