# Defoliation question

Hello everyone,

This is my first successful grow, and i am a couple weeks into flower. My plant is short and rather bushy. I have heard people talk about defoliation, and from what i read my plant is a good candidate for this. Any tips or recommendations would be much appreciated. Thank you!

I will said 1/3 of the bottom of plants  
That help you colas get the nute and light to had some dense bud

Welcome!

I work my way up from the bottom to defoliate in 2 steps.

1st week of flower I tend to remove the bottom 6th. At full flower at around week 4 of flower, remove another 1/6th. I just don’t like to stress the plant all at once

What @Mefis said. I take the botton 1/3  
of plant . She will grow plumper with all that new energy and air
