100% of my all-FP October harvest - AK47, Durban Poison, Vietnamese Black - I grew hydro DWC using coco as a medium and feeding nothing but Jack’s 3-2-1 at full strength in tap water. No additives, not even silica.
My May and June AF crops - Northern Lights, Blueberry, Amnesia Haze, White Truffle - I grew in organic soil. I used various nutes - Fox Farms, Miracle Grow, CX, AN - tap water, fabric bags, and self-watering bases. FWIW, I don’t think FF, AN, and CX are anything special.
Excluding two FUBARs beyond my control (bad seeds and genetics), yields and quality were nominal overall. Differences resulting from grow methods, media, and nutes were negligible and insignificant. However, I’ve become partial to DWC and Jack’s based on costs and ease of use.

She exceeded my expectations. Despite being the smaller of my two VB plants (and a resurrected cull), Short Time Girl produced roughly five times the bud yield - 300+ grams - compared to Sweet Yung Thang’s modest 60 grams of popcorn.
No popcorn buds and minimal larf. Plus plenty of trim for kief and edibles

Nice haul! Can’t complain about 10oz off a plant!
I want to make some brownies again soon. I have several sticks of cannabutter in the freezer, and plan on adding a bunch of decarbed kief to the slurry to kick it up several notches. Hate having to eat 4 or 5 brownies to get a glow on.

I spend a lot of time dicking around with my setup. Probably OCD or something. Not growing anything but two solos and lettuce now, but decided to consolidate everything in the enclosed west-facing balcony/sun room adjacent to my living room.
Much easier to control environmental conditions - temperature, humidity, air circulation, odor, etc - as I can open/close the slider, leave tents open during 18x6, and give them some supplemental afternoon sunlight, too. Tents, when not in service and temperature is cool enough, can even be used as drying/curing stations, instead of stinking up the spare bedroom and produce drawers in my refrigerator.

Dope ain’t the only crop that I grow. Here’s a couple of heads of hydroponic Parris Island lettuce. From seedling to the table in about 20 days.

Pulled some more hydro lettuce, cleaned up my gear, and started some more.
And here’s what I have in mind for my next solo cup grow. 18-oz with the bottom cut off. Drop in a 3-in. net pot, a wick, medium TBD (coco chips or clay pellets), sit it on top of a small reservoir with nute solution, and let them rip.

Ready to go; just waiting for a pair of GSC autos to expose their pert, nubile . . . sorry, getting ahead of myself.
Anyhow, interesting seed back story. I’d hidden them away about 3 years ago because . . . well, that’s another story and yes, I’m stoned . . . but I’d completely forgotten where I hid them. Just by chance, I discovered them hiding in the kitchen cupboard inside of the bottom of a manual coffee grinder that I never use and only grabbed it because I thought I might re-purpose it to grind weed.
And that’s how they came back to me. The Return of the Girl Scout Cookies.

Officially started my Red Solo DWC Girl Scout Cookies Hydro Grow. The 3-year-old seeds were slow to germinate.
Another crop of hydroponic lettuce is off to a strong start, too.

I’m back! Took a sabbatical from growing (except for salad greens) and social media stuff. Still have plenty of stash from 2025 grows, including a successful GSC duo noted previously. Gave a bunch away, too.
Got bored, though, and popped some Chocolope and Purple Haze photos, with one CHO and two PHZ in mid to late flower. CHOs were finicky; only one survived. PHZs sporting some massive colas. Pics to follow.
Experimented some more with nutes on hand: Jack’s 3-2-1, MC 1-Part, CX, and MiracleGro. I’ve also used other over-hyped (IMO) and over-priced brands that are a waste of money.
3-2-1 is my go-to, made in USA nute. MC 1 is nearly Jack’s equal, but it’s a Chinese import. CX works, but hassling with two bases and half a dozen additives with this Aussie product? Gimme a break.
But here’s a zinger that’ll trigger some “purists”: Plain old MG works just fine, too. Just add some magnesium sulfate (Epsom) to it, because MG has no magnesium and very little sulfur.
