Seems to work well, just sweats moisture from inside the bud to outside on the drier leaves even them out.
I hear ya on Groove bags we have hundreds of jars here.

I have a similar drying rack. Works great.
I’m using the Grove style terpene bags now and have had good luck with them so far. WAY easier than spending 60-90 minutes a day burping glass jars on a big harvest. I would recommend getting a couple of small ones and trying it out. When I ordered the CX Nutrients, it also came with 6-8 of their brand of the Grove bags. I’ll be trying those too with my other ones this harvest.
I’ve seen these packs called vivi packs. When buds are dry to 13%-15% they say you fill your jar put one of the packs in seal it and it will cured your product in 10 days! You or anyone else ever use them?
I was told by a couple of growers that the grove bags will still need to be burped. People’s opinion on them is all over the place
Yes and, also, they tend to equalize their RH to the place they are stored in… They work really well, but you have to keep your eyes on them. ![]()
If I have to watch so closely what’s the benefit over glass jars? And I currently own over 50 gallon glass jars. Depending on my harvest I might buy more.
None, imo…
I got a bunch of those bags… and now I use them only if I run out of Mason jars. ![]()
Well i checked the dry room a few hours ago and it was way out of wack. Humidity was at 80 and so was temp. I got a dehumidifier turned on and the humidity is down to 60% but the temp is still at 75° it’ll cool down over night. I hope my dry goes good with those numbers
I agree there seems to be inconsistent opinions on this…maybe enough to go a different route. I only use them now when I am over capacity on the Cannatrols.
My experience has been the opposite of @kaptain3d. Before I got the Cannatrols, I ran over 250 ounces thru Grove bags. I never burped them, and they never over dried or worse…rotted. I have had them in the bags for as long as 9 months. I used to put those little moisture meters in them but stopped since I never had one deviate from 58 - 62% rh. The humidity in my house ranges from 45% to 65% depending on the time of year. Good luck with the dry/cure.
My two cents
@David1974 @kaptain3d , my experience has been that I did have to “burp” or open the Grove bags every 3-4 days for about the first 12-14 day period if humidity got too high. I’d open for a couple of hours with a fan blowing in the room but not directly on them. Once they got back down to the 58-62% range, I would seal them back up using their ziplock closure, not heat sealing them. But after that, they stayed rock solid in the range. I put hygrometers in every bag. So much easier than opening 48-60 jars every day, waiting 20-30 minutes and then closing and storing all the large glass Mason jars again back in their totes. It was taking me 60-90 minutes every day for 60 days. Grove bags I opened 3-4 times total and then just monitored the hygrometers. Had 1 or 2 bags that I may have had to open after that, but nothing like the jar job. Of course, everyones experience can be different, I’m just letting you know how it really cut down on the work for me. YMMV. If you can try it on a small bags worth, you might be surprised. Good luck.
I might just do that
I must say that I had a few of their first production design. Ulterior designs were much better. They got better with their “terp-lock” technology, at least in my limited experience with them. ![]()
Top cola #1 off the UK cheese
Top cola #2 off the same plant
Top cola # 3 off the UK cheese
I personally like where cola #1 is at for the amount of amber.
The plant don’t look ready to my naked eye though!
Can’t hurt to give it a coupla three days, but you seem to be in the early window if your Jonesing to get after it. Nice grow!
Thanks for the compliment. No not in a big hurry I grew some auto flowers earlier in the summer so I’ve got fresh smoke.
Here’s what I had to do with mine. It was literally pulling the support stick over. I think I’ll get a net next time like you have.
Yeah this silver haze cbd is no where close to ready. If I had to guess id say it’ll be at least 3rd week of October before she is ready.
Hey David, a little fyi my CBD plants did get amber like my smoke plants do, I harvested them 1.5 weeks past stated flower time and seem to working well.
@Bentstick thank you for that bit of info. I’ll take a close up of her tomorrow or the next time I get out there but those bud sites are so small still. I can’t see her being done until the end of October. Thank God she’s small and manageable so i can protect her from extreme frost
