I do the opposite (tail down), works either way.

I formerly did the same, but picked up a tip from Mr. Soul few years back. He claimed that planting tail up would assist in peeling husk off prior to breaking soil. Has worked pretty good in my experience.

Yeah I can see how that would work. I just plant a little deeper than the recommended 1/4 inch and go closer to 1/2 inch and that seems to also help get that seed husk off as I don’t get “helmet heads” much anymore.

I see…energetic, uplifting, LOL, I had some weed that did that ONCE, it was totally golden in colour, with underlying green, a racehorse the thickness of a matchstick got 3 of us wasted as. I rushed back to buy more, all gone. Hoping to find weed that does that again one day. That was 40 years ago…still looking

Sorry mate. I don’t come on here enough and my inbox has so much spam that I usually miss things, plus I’m tending plants, getting timber from houses. Dealing with a 14 year old son that thinks he’s a professional gamer and a 16 year old daughter that tried to top herself again two weeks ago, my business is non existent. I’m in total denial of everything and I appear normal but I am so messed up it isn’t funny. Rock on 2022
