No i mean i don’t care and that ounce is still more than you’d have if you didn’t grow the seed but I’m just saying nobody on here grows big plants but swear that what they do works better likeee obviously it doesn’t

So called experts but yall swear your ph is supposed to be lower during veg than bud and i had someone tell me the way i grow doesn’t work but i mean obviously it does

That seemed like a hostile post out of the blue, why? Did something happen on here that lead you to post like this? It’s important to remember that growers have different goals and preferences. Terms like ‘large plant’ or ‘big yield’ are subjective what’s significant to one grower might not be to another. Many here are home growers who are following local laws and simply enjoying the hobby. It’s not a competition, and it shouldn’t become contentious. I haven’t seen anyone refer to themselves as experts, by your posts are you saying you’re better? When people mention pH zones, it’s not just opinion it’s science-based. Different nutrients are only available to plants within specific pH ranges, and fluctuating slightly within the ideal zone helps maximize nutrient uptake.

@Stoner4202
I hope this is a misunderstanding of some sort or just a poor choice of wording. Didn’t expect this from you.

It wasn’t meant to be hostile i just know what works atleast for me and i had someone tell me i was doing it wrong and that my ph is supposed to be above 6 for budding and below 6 for veg but if you look at the chart for what they uptake at what ph the low side is more what they need for budding and you get more for growth on the high side likr around 6.5 i do mine 5.8 for budding and 6.2 for veg and he didn’t call himself a expert i just see him giving advice alot and yesss i wasn’t trying to be an ass or anything and i feel like a kid at school who did something wrong lol I’m sorry

Ok, I kinda figured as much. You just came off kinda like a jerk, no offense.. it’s important we choose our words carefully since lots of people read these threads. This is meant to be a safe and respectful space, and while disagreements happen, there’s no need for attacks. If you want to back your points with science, that’s always appreciated and really helps people learn. Many people get really into this hobby and sometimes take advice as the only way to do things. Let’s focus on sharing knowledge and helping each other instead of throwing jabs.

Different pH ranges help the plant take in different nutrients, and each stage of growth has different needs. A slightly higher pH during the vegetative stage can help with nutrients that support leaf and stem growth. During flowering, a lower pH can improve uptake of nutrients that boost bud development. Letting the pH drift within the safe range can actually help the plant access a wider range of nutrients over time. The reasoning behind the “zones” based on stage is to balance out availability of nutrients, not shift focus on a few. This in turn can reduce overall chances of deficiency but is no way set in stone. Just a rule of thumb, and everyone will have slightly different outcomes, and everyone will blame this or that when problems arise, then move on. Generally without finding the cause, just doing umbrella troubleshooting to cover all basis. Which is fair. Not everyone has the patients or need to get overly involved in the science end. There is research all over showing the benefits of ranges. I personally like 6.0, feel like it’s a good balance. So In flower I set to 5.9 or so and let drift to 6.1/6.2. To each their own. You’re not wrong, and neither is the other individual.

5.8-6.2 golden zone all around. But there are “safer” ranges within that window. :call_me_hand:t3:

Broooo I’m gonna have to stop smoking for awile because I’m having a pericarditis flare or whatever and it feels like i can’t breath like i can’t get a full amount of air and it totally sucks

:grimacing: I’m an asthmatic if I smoke enough the breathing just feels… like I can never get a full breath of air. Have you ever tried vaping, or dabs? They seem to be better on the lungs. Not a fan of the dry herb vape, I tried, it just feels too “empty” for me. If that makes sense.

I’ve tried vapes and didn’t care for them that much and never dabs but I’d try if i ever got any and i love the taste of green so idk if I’d like the dry herb ones either and i have tincture to make gummies to get me by

Brother man, you are missing out! If you like the taste of green, dabs will punch you in the face with flavor. The up front costs on top of everything kinda sucks, but I don’t regret it. I use a press myself, some of the extractions you can find now are bonkers. I’m glad you have something to tie yourself over at least.
